We stayed MLK weekend and it was so wonderful. Property was very quiet and cozy and had plenty of room for 3 couples plus our 3 kids. We really enjoyed our deer friends that came to visit every morning. Property was very close to Beech Mtn resort, which was so nice after a long day of skiing. Tori (owner) was excellent at responding. If/when we come back to the area, we will def be staying here again.
Absolutely enchanted by our weekend stay at this mountain cabin in Beech Mountain!
The cabin provided the perfect blend of rustic charm and modern comfort. The panoramic views from the cozy living room windows were nothing short of breathtaking. Waking up to the serene beauty of the mountains was a true treat.
The cabin’s interior was thoughtfully designed, with every amenity we needed readily available. We found the kitchen well-equipped, making it easy to prepare our meals while enjoying the scenery.
Overall, our stay at Lazy Bear was a memorable experience. If you're seeking a tranquil mountain getaway with modern comforts, this house is a fantastic choice.
My Mom’s 70th birthday was the day before Thanksgiving so we all decided to get away and celebrate her birthday and the holiday together. We had 4 adults, our 20 year old and 17 year old children and our 4 year old Golden Retriever. The cabin was everything the listing said and more. It has been beautifully redone inside. The bathrooms were gorgeous! The beds and couches were super comfortable! The kitchen was FULLY loaded - we made a full Thanksgiving meal for 6 and didn’t need to bring anything from home to use for the large meal. There was plenty of space for all of us. The views were breathtaking!!! We walked for miles daily seeing so many deer. Three bucks were actually in our yard at one time. We stood on the balcony just watching them. Besides walking the area we never left the property. We just wanted to be together and relax. The cabin definitely gave us what we were looking for! We will definitely be back! Also, Tori, the property manager, was very responsive with all my questions and super sweet! There was nothing we had need of while being there. Highly recommend!!!!!
The most beautiful home. It was so comfortable and inviting. It has everything you need and probably things you didn’t think of. I loved sitting with coffee and taking in the view.
We had such a wonderful stay! You can tell there’s so much care and attention to detail in this home. The kitchen had everything we could possibly need, the beds and couch were super comfy. The decks were our favorite spot especially for watching the wildlife in the mornings. We loved that the upper deck could be closed off for kids and pups. It was such a peaceful, perfect trip, we are already talking about when we can come back!
It was a very nice property. I didn’t read close enough to realize that there were many flights of stairs. The property would be challenging for some individuals. The ice on the stairs leading into the home was dangerous esp for my 77 year old parents. Overall the home was very nice and cozy and we enjoyed our stay. Great location to the slopes and other tourist areas.
My friends and I had an awesome stay at the 3 Bears house! It was super cute, cozy, and a great quiet location! Will definitely stay again and recommend!
My family and I had the best weekend. Tori was great with communicating with me at all times and suggested some really awesome local things to do and see. The check in and out process was so easy! We would definitely stay again!
Everything was as described, so the visit was as expected. However, the owners were not able to predict the wonderful walks we took around the neighborhood or the many hours we spent working and relaxing on the deck. We really enjoyed our stay.
Nice spacious cabin with all the amenities you'll need. Lots of beds, three bathrooms! Very near to skiing (what we did), and also to hiking, mountain biking, and lots of other outdoor stuff. The host is super responsive and thoughtful.
My family had so much fun and enjoyed spending family time and meals together on the decks.
We visited the Land of Oz, had breakfast at Bellas, dinner at Brick Oven Pizza and enjoyed all the wild life.
Owners were very friendly and great to communicate with. Very helpful and prompt with any questions and recommendations.
Our family takes an annual trip to different places in the NC mountains and this was our first time to stay in Beech Mountain. We really liked the location and the house. It was clean, well maintained and overall had all the amenities (kitchen supplies, washer/dryer, linen, etc.) we needed for an enjoyable stay. The stairs to the house were a challenge but all of us (young to old) managed very well. We joked that climbing the stairs helped prepare us for hiking! We loved the two decks which were perfect for quiet mornings and late suppers. We will consider renting the house again. Bonus...if you love wildlife...we had many deer visitors and saw at least 2 sightings of bear in the neighborhood! Loved it!
Absolutely a perfect vacation!! The home is beautiful, comfortable and a home away from home feeling. There was nothing we wished to have been different! Thank you for a wonderful home for us to use for our memorial day weekend!!
We stayed the weekend for a girls trip and had a fantastic time. The cabin came equipped with everything we needed. Plenty of outdoors stuff to do in the location.
We had a wonderful time at Beech Mountain. We loved all the mountain views and the house was great. It was perfect for kids. The property owner did a great job communicating with us and making us feel at home. I highly recommend this property. Thank you for such a wonderful stay!
Beautiful location at high elevation - great for beating the heat. Lots of hiking nearby.

Perfect Place for a Relaxing Family Vacation!
My wife and I had a great time here with our kids! Our son was thrilled to see tons of deer in the yard. My wife was pleasantly surprised by all of the baby-friendly amenities! It's not too often that you go somewhere that has a nursing pillow and changing pad! Overall the house is warm, in a quiet location, and very easy to access. It has the feel of being secluded but it is close to all the mountain amenities and the ski slopes.
You can tell the house has been renovated in most of the rooms, and it looks like the owners are working hard to make it a very family-friendly home. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, silverware, and a full set of cookware. We liked that the coffee machine was on the middle level on the kitchenette bar in the living room... we didn't even have to go downstairs to get our coffee in the morning!
We had a fantastic time and will definitely be back!

Awesome House!
This house is killer for a ski getaway! My friends and I had a great time! We liked that it was quiet to come back to at the end of the day but close enough for us not to miss out on anything going on on the mountain. We hit the brewery, the pizza place, and Fred's!
The slopes were great and only about a 5 minute drive from the house. There were plenty of beds for all of us to sleep in, and we would definitely stay here in the future!
