There are numerous lakes Tjeukemeer, the IJsselmeer and the Braandemeer and river Linde, Kuinder of Tsjonger within 6 km so that you don't have to get bored in the summer. A visit to the picturesque Giethoorn (19 km), Heerenveen (15.8 km) and Drachten (20 km) are easily accessible. A day at the sauna in Joure (19,2 km) or a sportive walk through the Kuinderbos (8 km) or National Park Weerribben-Wieden (7 km) is also worthwhile. Lunch and dinner is served in ''Café 't Sluisje'' in Bantega.
