Das Frühstück ist vielseitig und schmackhaft; frisches Obst und Gemüse; Jogurt, Müsli und Nüsse...; nach Wunsch zubereitete Eiergerichte. Das Personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer groß, schön eingerichtet und sauber. Das Bett groß und bequem! Leider hat unser Zimmer stark nach Zigarettenrauch gerochen. Wir haben dort 4 Nächte verbracht und konnten die Geruchquelle nicht bestimmen.

Our family of 4 had a fabulous stay during our time in Barcelona. The staff stood out as having the best customer service we have experienced across any service industry in a long time. They were so helpful from the very beginning- storing our luggage prior to check in so we could begin exploring the city, sharing a map with us to highlight what to see and do in Barcelona, helping us book a bus tour, providing a great list of restaurants near by- they were just fantastic! Special shout outs to Simo, Silverio and Adam. The location was very convenient. The room was a great size and we especially appreciated a room that the four of us could fit in comfortably, as many hotels in Spain were not going to be large enough for us to fit in 1 room. Breakfast was a large, delicious spread. Overall, we were very impressed with this hotel and would choose a Catalonia property while traveling in the future after this experience.

My wife and I were extremely pleased with our recent stay at the Catalonia Magdalenes Hotel. Our room had a King size bed with a balcony and a view of the street below. The room was clean, and housekeeping did a great job of ensuring we had what we needed. The Hotel is centrally located within Barcelona's Gothic quarter. Public Transportation, shopping, dining, and sightseeing areas are all within walking distance. The staff, in particular Pere at the front desk, Alfredo the concierge, and Severino the bartender were extremely friendly and helpful. They all took the time to answer questions and point you in the direction you wanted go. Great customer service.

Das Hotel liegt ruhig aber sehr zentral. Die Bäder sind mit Duschgel, Shampoo und Bodylotion ausgestattet. Der Fitnessraum ist recht klein, Hanteln, Hometrainer, Stepper. Der Indoor Pool ist ebenfalls recht klein. Das Frühstückbuffet ist reichhaltig und über dem normalen Standard von Mittelmeer Hotels.

The staff was great in the lobby and the house keeping did a great job. The hotel was secure at night so it was safe. The only cons were the room itself was dark at night, the lighting was weird. They should put in more overhead lights in the ceiling and not use energy saving light bulbs as the lighting felt like a hospital. Also the doors are very thin so I could hear ALL the noise outside the room in the morning. Also, one of the other hotel guests had a dog so you could hear all the barking. Would I stay again? Probably not. I would pay a little more and stay at a more upscale hotel for the reasons of the noise of upside the room due to housekeeping and lighting.

Room was unique and considerably larger than many hotel rooms we have had in Europe. Adam the bellman was helpful and went out of his way to show us where to go and how to get to some nice places. The roof top bar was perfect for a glass of wine at sunset. Area had lots of restaurants and good shopping. A grocery store is only a block away for quick snacks and last min needs. Would highly recommend this hotel.

The hotel is nice and well-maintained. The staff is courteous and professional, and the location is very central, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are clean, modern, and tastefully furnished, with essential amenities. If you need anything, the staff is responsive and does their best to assist. The breakfast is healthy and satisfying, a great way to start the day. Overall, it’s a solid choice for a comfortable and convenient stay. That said, I was disappointed to be charged for two short local calls (under a minute each) I made to the airport from the in-room phone to check on my delayed luggage. Given that I stayed three nights and paid over €1400, this felt a bit petty. Tips for future guests: – Avoid calling a taxi to the hotel—it’s on a narrow lane and cars get stuck. Walk 5–7 minutes to the main road and take a taxi or airport bus from there. The bus takes the same time (~40 mins to the airport) and costs €8 vs. €53 by taxi. – Book directly through the hotel’s website—I noticed rates can be much better than on third-party sites (I booked via Expedia) Overall, a good stay with a few things to keep in mind.
