Good place to stay close to Barcelona Sants

First class reception where we were offered a welcoming cup of tea whilst we waited to check in. Friendly receptionist recommended a local restaurant for our evening meal which really added to the enjoyment of our overnight stay. The rooms are basic, clean and have good ensuite bathrooms. Within a ten minute walk of Barcelona Sants station.

Spartan (single bed, small room) but comfortable and breakfast was nice. Location convenient to station and also to main Parl Expensive for what was offered, but it turned out I had booked for the weekend of the Grand Prix

The hotel reception was exceptionally accommodating - having arrived at the hotel at 22:00 and later inquiring about where to purchase bottled water, the host very graciously gave me a free 1.5L bottle from the breakfast area!

Perfect place for my stay in Barcelona

Very convenient with 2 metro stations close by as well as Barcelona Sants train station. Clean, simple room. They offer luggage storage before checkin and after checkout, which is great to explore the city. Breakfast included, very price competitive if you’re looking for a no-frill but reliable place to stay! Only thing, the sound proofing isn’t great so if you’re easily disturbed in your sleep, I wouldn’t recommend. Other than that, great place !

A lovely one night stay

Just one night when passing through. Staff were lovely and very helpful. The bathroom was spotless. The only negative was that there was just a sheet and a quilt on top rather than a duvet with duvet cover on the beds, but the room was the right temperature anyway so we were not too cold even in January. Breakfast was very good, with a good range of hot drinks, delicious yogurt and nice seedy bread for toast and jam. A very convenient location a pleasant few minutes' walk from the train station.

Hostal Baler provided the perfect stopover. Easy walk from station. 30 min walk to Las Ramblas. Clean. Helpful staff. Good simple breakfast included in price. Able to leave luggage at reception after check out. Good price and value. Walls are thin! But street noise minamal.

I chose this hotel bc it is so close and convenient to the metro and train station. It is also an easy walk to Placa Espanya and Museo Nacional d’Art, and other beautiful sites. Bars and restaurants of all styles are near, or take the metro and explore. The hotel is small and essential. It is not, let’s say for “luxury.” However, it is perfectly located, it’s clean, the bed is comfortable, the air conditioning was great at night, and the light breakfast was fine. Best of all, are the friendly staff members who take care of the place and more importantly whatever you need. Super friendly and kind. Much appreciated! Gracias por todo!

A little gem

A fantastic hostel which is walking distance from the nearest underground train station which is also a direct line to the airport. The hostel was very clean, the staff were fantastic and very helpful. The room was small but perfectly formed for two people who only needed a place to sleep. Only downside was the walls are not very soundproofed and so you can hear noise and especially the water usage in the next room. Breakfast was included and there was a choice of cereal, breads, meats, yoghurts and fruit juices. A coffee machine provided plenty of choices for hot drinks.

Perfect place!

Amazing cozy place for travelers, the room has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The personnel is friendly and always greets you with a “Hola”. The facilities and the room are cleaned every day. The fact they give you breakfast is a plus, don’t expect a fancy buffet but if you go on a budget-trip, the food they give you there definitely saves you from spending money on breakfast outside and let me tell you, food in Barcelona ain’t cheap, so having the breakfast there help. The place is located in a beautiful neighborhood and at least 20 minutes away from the main touristy places (if using the city bus or metro which both options are so easy to use if it’s your first time, which was in my case), it is at 3-4 minutes walking distance from the Arenas Mall/Plaza España which is super convenient and from there you can find the metro station or the bus stop that will take you anywhere in Barcelona. The only “downsize” of the hostal itself will be that the rooms are so close to each other and not sound isolated that you can hear the other guests snoring (that was funny), but overall, it’s not a bad thing. I highly recommend Hostal Baler, will be going back to Barcelona at end of the year and definitely I will stay again here.
