Location is perfect, hotel is ok. Floor and doors were broken and falling apart, room smelled like a locker-room, but staff was very helpful and friendly. Seems very very expensive, but the location in the center of town is hard to beat.

This was a great simple hotel 1/2 block from the University Plaça. The only issue is that the front desk is only open during the day so if you have early morning or evening questions about buses or tours there is no one to talk to. No breakfast included but they have a nice self serve area with coffee maker and tea, microwave and an outdoor patio

Location is excellent in downtown, within walking distance of Placa de Catalunya square where you can take a bus to and from the airport. Most other Barcelona attractions are also within walking distance. But the hotel is minimal with front desk staff only available from 10:00 to 18:00 and if you arrive late and going to stay one night even when you have paid for your room, they force you to go to their sister hotel, pay the city tax and get your keys there. This is okay as long as you don't carry a lot of luggage.

Good location and friendly staff. We experienced no disturbing noise. The hotel has a lounge with self-service coffee and tea. The room had a window but to no purpose as it faced a dark elevator shaft. Unfortunately, the ceiling fan was so dirty that we didn't dare to use it, and the AC grilles were also very dirty. The bathroom was worn and not too clean. But otherwise it was okay.

Wonderful location. The front desk person was very friendly and helpful, but on site between 10am and 6pm only. Appreciated the free coffee and biscuits. Beautiful common area. My bathroom was not well maintained. The moldy shower curtain should be replaced. It made me cringe every time I entered the bathroom. I am not sure I will return to this property despite the central location, unless my preferred options are all sold out (which is what happened this time)

We were able to easily check in early in the am at their main hotel around the corner and store our bags for the day. This allowed us to easily walk the city before our rooms were ready. The person at the check in desk was very friendly and helpful

The bed was comfy, the location was great for wandering the city, the common area was clean and provided free coffee and water. The rooms were clean, check in was easy, and we felt safe as two young travelers. I would recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet place to stay in Barcelona. Not sure if it’s centrally located to clubbing because we did not go, but for restaurants and public transportation, it was great!!

Great little place for a quick stay in Barcelona! The terrace was a great escape from the busyness of the streets and we really appreciated the water and coffee that was included. Beds & pillows are very comfortable and we felt safe in this hotel. Would recommend and stay again!

This boutique hotel was perfect for us! We paid a little bit more and got a room with a balcony. Our view and the fresh air was wonderful. Location was right next to public transit. Chic & Basic Lemon does not have 24 hour service, but the front desk attendant from 10a-8p worked well for us. The lobby and back garden/patio were a great place to hang out. We did not expect a daily bed cleaning service. That was a bonus and much appreciated after busy days in Barcelona.

The hotel itself is not bad, but it needs repairs. The bathroom in our room has broken straps, and lacks maintenance. The hotel entrance mat is broken, the elevators are very battered, and lacks maintenance is something that is worrying. The key to our room stopped working, and we almost slept in the lobby because we had no one to call. In short, they need to review maintenance and coordination aspects.
