"Where do I start? First, the positives which were very few. Very warm welcome by a lovely lady, nicely decorated rooms, lovely big bed, good shower. On the negative side, very difficult to find and had to park in an unsecured public car park half a mile away with narrow cobbled streets to negotiate. Breakfast served in room and left the night before was virtually inedible - stale bread and cakes, tea but no kettle, fruit way past its sell by date including black bananas. No air con and very hot...

"Located in a small hamlet about 7 minutes drive from Santillana del Mar and about 10 minutes from beach, playa de Tagle (there is also a walking path to beach that we didn’t use). There is not a beach view from apartment but views across the valley are lovely. Apartment was well appointed and very clean. The beds were comfortable. Owners left a few little snacks, teas, etc - nice touch! Check in was remote (very convenient when unsure of exact arrival time) and parking was available on site....

"Beautiful balcony overlooking the picos mountains. Surrounded by nature. Comfortable and cosy lodgings. Fresh goodies on arrival, with a very warm welcome. The stay was a treat and a difficult place to leave!"

"This property was a fantastic base to explore Comillas and the surrounding areas of Cantabria. You can be on the beach or in the centre of town in 5 minutes. The property itself has everything you need and is extremely comfortable. The garden has a good outside eating area and a lovely view of the sea and port. Our children (12 & 9) loved the swimming pool and the underground car parking was a brilliant facility. The owner has been extremely helpful both before and during our stay. Thank you...

"What a fabulous find this apartment was! Stunning scenery from the terrace, Well equipped kitchen, we had a one bedroom apartment with terrace. A lovely warm welcome from Eva who is so lovely and was on hand with good knowledge of the area and very friendly! We will definitely be back soon! Lovely welcome with fresh bread, freshly laid eggs , water, tea and coffee! A real home from home and fantastic laundry room !"

"We spent a wonderful week at Nieves's apartment. Although small, the interior living accommodation is comfortable and very well-planned for a couple. Nieves is a very kind, thoughtful and attentive host. The position is superb, and the views from the balcony are amazing! Although the weather was mixed, we were able to do plenty of walking each day and loved relaxing and reading at the apartment, watching the ever-changing estuary views afterwards."

"Die Wohnung in einem schönen Haus war praktisch eingerichtet und sehr gepflegt. Der Ort war sehr ruhig. Um Brot zu kaufen muss man ein paar Kilometer bis Suance fahren. Wenn das Wetter mitmacht (war bei uns leider nicht der Fall), gibt es fußläufig erreichbar (10-15 Min.) einen schönen kleinen Strand."
