Total Seclusion, 50 Private Acres, 2000 Ft Riverfront, Mountain Cabin, Hot Tub

Total Seclusion and Privacy, No Neighbors or Public Roads, Riverfront Cabin, Dog Friendly

Patrons say Harmony Lodge feels like Shangri-La with its quietness, serene beauty, total privacy and seclusion, no neighbors, and the only road is the private Harmony Lodge road. This is an amazing beautiful locale where motion pictures are made. You have discovered the perfect getaway near Stevens Pass to inspire your mind and soul.

There is a large hot tub on the deck with stunningly beautiful view of the river and forest and Mt. Index. There is also a firepit above the river. Harmony Lodge is fully equipped and furnished, so all you need to bring is change of clothes and food to prepare in the full-size modernized kitchen or on the propane BBQ over the river with propane provided. There is electric heat, and wood burning fireplaces that add beauty and charm. Firewood is provided.

Accommodation highlights are unlimited wifi, music system, telephone land line, a flat screen TV, Blu-ray/dvd player, an outdoor firepit above the river, and a hammock at the river edge. In the modern bathroom for your convenience is body soaps, towels, and hair dryer. If you wish to dine out, nearest restaurant is a 10 minute drive.

Harmony Lodge is nestled in a forested valley above 2,000 feet of Index Creek that dances in waterfalls over river boulders in the middle of 50 privately owned acres. The property goes up the side of a mountain, up the side of another mountain, and up and down the valley. The view from the deck and the floor-to-ceiling windows of the mountains and forested valley, river with sparkling waterfalls, and huge sky is magnificent with Mt. Index at one of the valley and Mt. Baring at the other end. Harmony Lodge was designed in 1929 by a renowned architect as a hunting lodge for senators and was used for this purpose until the 1960s, when it was purchased by someone who owned it until the mid 1990s. The current owner is now sharing this preserved facility and land with you.

There is large view deck above the river with comfortable chairs, propane BBQ and propane provided, and picnic table.

There are wonderful private trails on this property leading to waterfalls and cozy coves at the water edge. Patrons says their dogs leap in the air with delight with their freedom on the trail. Swim in swim holes, fish for trout at Harmony Lodge. Observe the salmon valiantly swimming upstream. Also, at nearby Skykomish River, you can fish from the shore or fly-fish, boat and swim, and walk the shore of the Skykomish.

Harmony Lodge is 1,000 square feet, so there is lots of room to stretch out and relax with corners to get cozy in the furniture and enjoy the views from the various sides of the house.
In the Harmony Lodge bedroom, there is antique furniture and a cozy queen size bed in a magnificent bed frame with scrolled posts, and this bed overlooks the cascading creek and forested mountains and sky. In the Harmony Lodge 325 square foot great room, there are 2 couches on separate sides of the room near floor-to-ceiling windows, that fold out to double size beds with deluxe 11-1/2 inch mattresses, and a chair that folds out to a child bed also with an 11-1/2 inch mattress. There is also a teak room divider for added privacy.

Children age 24 months and younger stay for free.

Your dog is welcome. We allow 2 dogs per reservation; when you reserve, note the first dog in the Pet Fee field and note the second dog in the Administrative Fee field.

Harmony Lodge is available year round. We book nightly, weekends, and weekly. Our patrons say that Harmony Lodge and property is unsurpassed for a romantic getaway, a honeymoon, a special time with family and friends, for persons seeking solitude and inspiration, for a writer, and for a Stevens Pass ski vacation. Our patrons say they do not want to leave, and we want you to have this wonderful one of a kind experience. Come, have fun and relax in nature. We encourage you to reserve now to ensure you get the dates you want. We welcome you.

Harmony Lodge completely sanitizes and disinfects as part of cleaning between reservations..

Quote by Destination360: “The Harmony Lodge is a great example of a Washington cabin rental. Harmony Lodge is set in a wooded valley, and 50 acres of private land wrap you in privacy and isolation. There is an [2,000 foot] area of the Index creek that also belongs to the cabin, so you have this area for your own use. This is one of the more secluded rental cabins that Washington has, so you get the freedom and seclusion that people who come to enjoy Washington State travel will seek out.”

We had an amazing time. The property was just what we hoped for. Secluded and private. The views of the creek and mountains were awesome. We enjoyed hiking and relaxing to the sounds of the creek. Scott was a great host and very helpful. I highly recommend this property for someone who wants to get away and enjoy some seclusion and privacy.

Even more spectacular than I expected
Based on the reviews of this property we had pretty high expectations, but even those were blown away. The pictures of this place absolutely do not do it justice- I honestly think it’s one of those “you had to be there” things, but this cabin was pure magic. It was just the two of us with our two husky dogs for our duration. The provided instructions were clear and easy to follow (both to navigate to the property, as well as to interact with the many many vintage aspects of the cabin; there are discrete, yet detailed notes anywhere where you might be unsure of how to interact with anything out of the ordinary) We were so impressed with the layout, the quality of the provided dishware and linens, and THE VIEWS, my goodness the views! The ONLY thing I would dare to change would be the ease of access to the river. It is possible, you just need to be careful and work for it. There are a few paths to get down to the waters edge directly from the cabin, but all of them were a bit of a scramble and not for anyone with any kind of mobility limitation. However, the mountain river water is so cold, you probably won’t be swimming in it for long anyway. So the short climb down and back is more a fun little adventure close to home base, than an activity you might spend the entire day doing. All in all this is an incredible getaway, and we are SO thankful for our hosts who provide it and keep it in such amazing upkeep for folks to enjoy. .

We really enjoyed the cabin. The amenities were very delightful including the hot tub, games, jigsaw puzzles and movies. The coolest stove was fun and easy to use. We are hikers and made use of the trails!!! Oh yes, our dogs were very happy to hike there too. Thank you so much for sharing your quirky adorable cabin with us.

Incredible location
Our family truly enjoyed the beautiful and secluded location, and the history and charm of the cabin. There is a narrow, one-lane bridge to access it, so we were glad we drove my sedan and not his dually pickup, as I doubt it would have fit. Other than that, our stay was fantastic. We plan to return again, for sure!

This is our second time staying here. Honestly one of the most beautiful serene places I've ever been. We stayed 5 nights and it still didn't feel long enough. I asked my girlfriend to marry me (something ive been planning to do since the first time we stayed here a year ago). All in all a perfect getaway we will be back next year.

Ideal Private Cabin Weekend
This was the perfect place for a weekend getaway from city life! Surrounded by beautiful nature and in total isolation, the cabin is a picturesque vacation spot for relaxation and peacefulness. We took advantage of the fireplace, the hot tub, gorgeous nature views, and the extensive VHS collection. The ideal weekend getaway spot for a couple or small group. So cozy! Will be returning again! Great getaway!
We had a belss as Ted anniversary trip and wanted to get away from the busyness of things. This was the perfect setting and cabin! Couldn’t get enough of the rushing creek! We loved the cozy cabin with its large windows looking out over both directions of the creek. My husband was a big fan of the hot tub as well. We’ll be back. Our hosts were easy to contact, and made our stay relaxing by having plenty of information around the cabin to make sure we operated things like the pellet stove, old stone fireplace, and the hot tub properly and without any issues. Thanks for a wonderful getaway where we were able to reset!

Magic in the mountains
This cabin is magical. It’s a nod to a slower pace of life from 1929. The smells, the sounds, will put you at ease. The hot tub is nice but older and jets aren’t the best but it heats and is relaxing. The one hot tub pic on the listing isn’t quite accurate for its placement but still amazing views and relaxation. And the VHS collection - pIease add to this, it was a nice throw back. Loved going back in time.

Sometimes things are popular for a reason
I had to book this property about 10 months in advance because it’s so popular. What was the best thing about it? There are too many to list. There are so many amazing things about this property: Stellar views from literally every direction, the hiking, the hot tub, the almost 100 year old lodge with its gorgeous fireplace. I think one thing that needs a shout out is the pellet stove. Don’t pick the baseboard heat option (yes, this place even comes with heating options) use the pellet stove. I had my coffee every morning in that comfortable wicker chair, watching the sun rise over the jagged mountain peaks in front of that glorious stove. My dogs loved it too. And the hosts? Forget about it! You could rent every single property on Vrbo and not find hosts half as great as Rita & Scott. Love them!!! All I can say is one night I started a fire in that fireplace, my dogs were curled up in front of it and it started to rain on the metal roof. It was magical. I am pretty sure Rita is some kind of natural force that creates this magical environment that surrounds Harmony Lodge. If you’re thinking of booking, do it!

A Little Slice of Heaven
I find it difficult to articulate exactly how amazing this place was. It was the perfect place to unwind and recharge with my husband. The scenery was to die for. Killer views from pretty much every angle of the house. The bedroom window view is what dreams are made of. The livingroom window in front of the hot tub is basically the whole wall. We sat there for so many hours reading with the door cracked so we could listen to the sound of the stream. I've never met a comfortable futon in my almost 40 years on earth. Yet, somehow they have two of them! We cat napped in front of the fireplace each afternoon on them. The bed and pillows were also exceptionally comfortable, and I'm a very sensitive sleeper as far as what I'm able to sleep on. You have complete and utter privacy, but pretty much anything you could want or need is 15 minutes or less from the cabin- including awesome hiking trails and spots to fish. Our hosts, Rita and Scott were simply wonderful. They were both so hospitable and just downright cool. Rita went into great detail to show us around and how everything worked, etc when we first arrived. She was also ready to help at the drop of a hat while at the same time respecting our time and privacy. My husband and I joked with each other about wondering if they would adopt us 😂 We had all the comforts of home at the cabin: books, DVDs/VHS tapes, games, grill stocked with propane, firewood, everything I needed to cook meals, you name it. 10/10 recommend!

My husband and I wanted to have a quiet wedding anniversary. I have been looking at this listing for 2 years. After his deployment, we finally booked it. It was better than imagined. The beauty of the surrounding nature and the rustic cabin was worth the wait. We loved everything about this place. The hot tub was the best part. It was ready for us when we got there and so was the pellet stove. All the notes were very helpful. Make sure to read them all and youll have no questions. Enjoy your stay. You will not be disappointed!!
