"We had a fantastic stay at Pike Cliffs. The location was excellent, allowing us to easily get to Lajes for whale watching and the whaling museum, Madelena for the nearby vineyards (and best grocery store), and, of course to Mt. Pico, which my oldest daughter climbed. The terrain is unique and varied across the island, unlike anything we’d ever seen before. The view from Pike Cliffs was stunning, we never tired of looking over the fields and cows to the ocean. Check out the photos and you will see what I mean. Highly recommend the coastal park leading to Baia das Canas which is near to the house and C Bistro in Sao Roque which was the best restaurant we tried (especially if you like cats!) Francisco was very responsive and with three bedrooms and two full baths we had plenty of room so everyone had their own space. Highly recommend. "

"I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was comfortable and clean, and everything was well-maintained. The breakfast was absolutely perfect—fresh, delicious, and with a good variety of options to choose from. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and always ready to help, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I would definitely recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again."

"We stayed for 3 weeks and absolutely loved the house, access to hiking, easy drive to other parts of the island, and a terrific swimming area very near by. The house is fully equipped, very clean, comfortable beds and good quality linens, towels etc. Being near the ocean and in a warm climate there were a number of spiders and other small insects as one might expect in that climate and with being a country home. Three weeks on Pico was a bit more than we needed as it is quite quiet but there was easy access by ferry to other island, which was great. All communications were easy and quick. "

"This was a fantastic place to stay. Very conveniently located very close to the airport, but you won't hear much going on as it's a very small airport. This is a historic house and there's a lot to look at! The rooms are great and very comfortable. The breakfast service was great. We really enjoyed our stay overall. I'd happily recommend this place to anyone looking to stay on Sao Jorge and would stay here again next time we're here."

"This property is in a spectacular location overlooking the magnificent Atlantic Ocean. You have to coordinate the resorts ATV transportation but it's we'll with the effort. This is a perfect place to escape so stay at least a few days if not more. You should stop at the grocery store and be fully stocked for meals although you're greeted with homemade bread, local cheese and the owners produced wine. "

"The location was beautiful and the host was very friendly. The apartment was clean and well stocked; however, we booked this location to sleep and to shower and both experiences were sub par. The bed is so hard, it offers little comfort after climbing Mt. Pico. The shower set up is odd, splashing water all over the toilet and provided toilet paper. There was no a/c as advertised and we couldn't locate the washer; however, we didn't look hard. All in all the place was nice, but the bed was the worst we experienced in all of our travels. We're paying for it today. "

"Nice area to sit outside, well stocked kitchen, each room has a cabinet for items, basket of fruit from owner’s garden and lovely cake was on one of the tables for guests to enjoy. Diana works very hard keeping the place clean and is always available if have any questions. Short walk to two excellent local restaurants, small but well stocked supermarket and the Trilho Ecologico da Urzelina (TEU), a beautiful 3 KM coast path. "
