"We had a lovely long weekend at the Owl's Nest. Pearle and David were excellent hosts, with great communication throughout the entire process. They were very concerned that everything was to our expectations and that we had the best time. The cabin is very cozy and is complete with anything you could possibly need during your stay. They have a ton of board games and activities around the grounds such as basketball, hop scotch, frisbee golf and even axe throwing! The grounds are lovely, offering unexpected themed walking paths, offering a tribute to the Beatles, Alice in Wonderland, fun frogs and a fairly village. And the outdoor hot tub is heavely! They are currently building an outdoor Swedish sauna which will be the best. David and Pearle even made a point of ensuring that their boat dock was in place in time for our visit, knowing that we were bringing our boat with us. I rate this property 1000 out of 100! Great rental. We will definitely be making a return trip soon. Thank you so much Pearle and David! "

"This hotel is in such a great location. I live in Odenton,MD and used a full tank of gas to get there, drive around and get back home. Everything was so close by the most I traveled was 10min to the western md scenic railroad, ( the reason for our visit). It has plenty of food around and Walmart is 5min away as well. The hotel itself was very clean, the staff was friendly and provided service quickly when needed. My boys had a great time in the pool, which was clean and towels were stocked and ready when needed. They also have a hot tub and a bathroom in the pool area which was very convient. Breakfast was great! They had a variety of foods like eggs, biscuits and gravy, bagels. Muffins that were very tasty! They had sausage, bagels, yogurt, waffles, fruit and a few juices to select from. The room was a nice size for me and my 4 boys. We had 2 queen beds and a pull out sofa. A nice counter space for any snacks or food and a fridge and microwave of course. The shower water stayed hot thru many showers and baths in a row! Blow dryer worked great too. I would stay here again anytime I'm visiting and would recommend. Literally the only complaints I would say were the vents def needed to be cleaned and there was a piece of trash next to the couch when we arrived. LOL This place is great!"

"The ladies that work the front desk are very professional and kind. Breakfast was good. But very dissatisfied that the pool is advertised as heated ( whole reason we picked the hotel) and there was nothing heated about it. The water was as cold as ice. Also to found it very sickening that around the pool area was so dirty that it turned the bottom of your feet black. Then it’s very concerning that there is back mold all around the windows were the AC unit is and it makes you wonder how much black mold is being put into the room because of the AC unit. Really think the hotel could use some improvements especially for the prices that are being asked to stay there "

"Our weekend getaway at The Lodges Sunset Village was excellent. Loved the quaint atmosphere and cozy cabin. It was a great size for 3. Close shops and eateries near by. Staff was accommodating and prompt. The only suggestion I would give is that when providing the cabin number/addresses to the lake side properties to use cabin5 address for all rooms. We were taken completely off track with the original address as typed in the gps. Also we would suggest a larger sign at the street for the lakeside property as we drove past it 2x. We had to remind ourselves to look for the green fence. Other than that would definitely make a return trip"
