"Amazing place"

"Au Clos du Lac was one of the best B&Bs we’ve ever stayed at. Beautiful spacious room, stunning gardens and lovely pool/spa area. Anaïs was very welcoming and friendly and breakfast was plentiful and delicious. A real luxury treat in a beautiful village not far from Reims and the champagne region. We’ll be back!"

"Le propriétaire m'a dit qu'il ne travaillait plus avec expedia alors que j'avais une réservation avec expedia et donc il ne m'avait pas réservé de chambre. Par conséquent il m'a logé dans une chambre de dépannage sans aucun confort (juste un matelas sur le sol). Chambre située sous le toit alors qu'il faisait extrêmement chaud (période de canicule) et chambre qui n'était pas équipée de clim ou de ventilateur. J'ai passé une nuit exécrable."

"A good spot to stay en route to the Alps. Nice room and really nice fresh breakfast. Dinner was ok but the veal was a bit chewy. Better to stick to the nice looking omelette etc. Good walks around the lake and helpful staff. Peter"

"Château de Fère is set in an extraordinary location, and the setting alone makes it well worth a stop. The historic château and its grounds have a real sense of grandeur that is difficult to find elsewhere. The hotel itself is a little tired in places, but everything is perfectly functional. In many ways, that adds to its character and authenticity, rather than feeling like another polished but generic five star chain hotel. "Nice comfortable room. Helpful staff. Free tea / coffee and sweets. No restaurant but food is provided and is good quality and value. There are also restaurants nearby. We tried L'Atelier di Pasta which was excellent. Highly recommended."
