"I stayed at the Hampton by Hilton for 3 nights. Lovely Hotel, spacious room, very nice bathroom. The best bit was the location. Its literally a 5 min walk to the Roman baths. I walked everywhere. Its also a 10min walk from the train station so there is no need to drive to Bath. The staff were friendly & helpful. Breakfast time got very busy but the breakfast manager always managed to find me a table. Breakfast was delicious & the waffle maker was very popular. I will definitely be staying here again."

"Excellent boutique hotel, was great fun. Excellent barman with top cocktail knowledge. Excellent location for city centre. Loved the pantry, although didn’t use it. Only criticism was that there were no cupboards and draws in our room."

"Shops and restaurants nearby, as well as parks and a gallery. Not the easiest property to navigate for those with mobility needs. Definitely not wheelchair suitable. "

"Room we clean and had space. The swimming pool with the booking system worked really - we really enjoyed it. Breakfast - we couldn't fault it, loads of choice excellent quality and service."

"The breakfast was fantastic, fabulous choice of food and juices; staff were so helpful and attentive. Spa was a welcome treat, after a day of exploring the city; again, staff in spa were so helpful. Room, as rest of hotel, was spotless. The windows were rather old and hard to open ( to air the bathroom, after a shower), but the building is relatively old. The private parking was expensive, but only a short walk from the hotel and we knew the car was safe and secure. All in all, a wonderful stay at The Gainsborough, will definitely return; was a wonderful experience. "

"Staff were exceptional particularly Camilla on reception nothing was too much trouble. Everywhere was immaculately clean I though the valet service for parking the car was too expensive."
