"The room was a bit dated and one light not working. Parking was expensive but I would recommend in that area due to break ins. Close to public transportation."

"In order to even enter the property you must take a ticket to have the gate open. The parking fee was a surprise. I later noticed that in the small print on Expedia that it was spelled out. The price for the stay should be the total to pay. Parking is not included. The room, lobby, and staff were perfectly fine for a reasonable price."

"My dear friend from southern California and I met in Portland for a 4 day vacation and we chose The Heathman, due to its perfect location, historical character, excellent service and attention to detail. We were not disappointed. The only bummer was the fact the restaurant is under remodeling, and there is no room service or bar for the next few months but breakfast is served each morning. I love how quiet the building is and the professionalism of all, especially the valet staff. There are so many amazing restaurants within walking distance, our favorite being Dolly Olive just a few blocks away. Also close to Powells, the Pearl District, Rose & Japanese Gardens, Saturday Market, as well as shopping, theatre and the Portland Art Museum (just a block away). Great value. We can't wait to visit again."

"Second time I’ve stayed here. It is a favorite when in Portland. MayRose Cafe had a great breakfast. Room was clean and quiet overall with lovely views. The staff were amazing in allowing me to check in earlier than I’d planned. Highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Portland."
