"Sari Gili Bungalow – Your Little Island Hideaway
If you’re looking for a cozy spot that’s close to everything but still gives you that peaceful, laid-back island feel—Sari Gili Bungalow is the one.
Tucked away just enough from the buzz, this place is a proper gem. Cute little bungalows, comfy beds, and that tropical garden vibe that makes you wanna ditch your shoes and never leave. It’s got all the essentials—aircon that actually works, hot showers (thank God), and a pool that’s perfect for...
" Place is really awful. I put some pictures to show how awful it is and thanks GOD I brought with me bed sheets to change the old ones. In the pictures those are my bed sheets. The toilet is dirty because it's open from the corner of the roof."
"The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. The location is good - towards one end of the main strip - so close enough fire easy access to all the restaurants etc but far enough away to avoid the night club noise.
Sadly the hotel has suffered earthquake damage. This had totally destroyed the main reception, bar and restaurant. The cottage we stayed in also had evidence of earthquake damage (eg cracks). We only stayed there one night because of this."
"The place is really beautiful. The receptionist was very sweet person. She arranged snorkelling tour, laundry, transport at a very cheap rate. She also gave us little turtle souvenirs.
The place is deep inside the island 2km from the port, so it's better to take a horse carriage. The area is a little quiet and dark at the night, so i suggest you to take a torch with you. The pool is very salty, but if you wanna chill by the pool there's a lot of areas. The canteen inside is decent."
"Decent place to stay, bed is comfortable and the rooms are small. Hot shower and western toilet in the room. The price includes breakfast which was very simple but good.
It’s about 10 minutes drive from central Sembalun so keep that in mind as there are not many places to eat nearby.
Overall if you’re looking for a place to stay and rest up for a cheap price I could recommend."
"Place is secluded enough away from the crowds but within easy walking distance of good places to eat and easy access to the beach. The villa is large and spacious. Pool and sunlounges are great, loved the breakfasts by the pool, even tried the floating breakfast. Staff and owners are very welcoming. Will stay again!"
"This place is incredible! We loved it so much that we booked to stay again a few days later.
The place is beautiful and so comfortable and relaxing. The location is quiet but just a 5 minute walk from the good snorkelling beach and lots of restaurants and bars.
The staff here are incredible - so welcoming, helpful and fun to be around. They do everything that they can to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. Thank you Adi and Maddi!
There is a water dispenser in the room which is...
"Great facility on a paradise island. Very private and Luxury with your own little oasis. Staff is incredible and breakfast was very good.
The only downside was they did not have restaurant so we needed to order food and wait a bit. Food places and meny were nothing amazing. "

"Everything was just very, very good -> location, pool, sunset spot, people, food, room (nr 13) Beach ….totally relaxing and in walking distance to “Down Town” "
"Great location! Away from the hustle bustle and close enough to great restaurants, sunset venues and beaches. Note there really isn’t a beach out front but plenty of swimmable beaches close by.
We stayed in a pool access room - well worth the upgrade as the rooms towards the front of the hotel lack privacy and exposed to late night music.
The chilled pool and terraced restaurant are highlights! Staff are incredibly sweet and friendly.
Menu is hit and miss. Order the pork belly and sweet potato fries! Bfast every morning is delicious and good people watching. Seriously best coffee! Double shot lattes.
Sleeping was comfortable with nightly turn down service and air conditioned rooms. We left doors open and fan on. Roosters and birds are a nice way to wake up around 5am.
They also serve afternoon tea with selection of tea, coffee and light bites complimentary to pool villas.

"Our family really enjoyed our stay at Scallywags in two adjoining garden villa rooms. Although the hotel is close to the busy part of the island we didn't hear a thing from the rooms. The food at the restaurant was great, as was the service from the staff. Was very easy to lie on the beach out the front of the hotel and to swim with the turtles as they floated past. Highly recommended. "
"We have absolutely loved our stay!
We’ll definitely be coming back and can 100% recommend it!
The staff is the sweetest.
Breakfast was also great – we loved that there was a menu to choose from!"
