Maybe we were the unlucky ones but we were welcomed with unswept floors, non-working toliet with a surprise from a previous unsuccessful flush, dead insects, and no hot water. We had to run the water for 2-3 minutes to get 'luke warm', not convenient for our small children. "Sundunes was amazing! The location couldn’t have been better—super close to tons of restaurants, beach clubs, and just a quick drive to town. The property was quiet, clean, and relaxing.
The staff were all so friendly and helpful, and the breakfast every morning was delicious. The rooftop restaurant? Hands down some of the best food I had the whole trip—plus the views were unreal.

"Hotel was in great location about 10’ drive from town. Owen George was excellent staff were great. Breakfast was included and Was yummy. Nice breeze so no need for air con. Good size swimming pool.
Naxos has the greatest beaches and nice villages in the mountains. Food was great - local products too. Town centre was clean with great shops for food and souvenirs. "
"Mandilaras Village definitely exceeded my expectations. Staff was amazing, the room was perfection and the pool with that view was extraordinary. If you are travelling with a car and looking for a quiet relaxing place to stay Mandilaras is the place to go. They offer amazing recommendations and the main town is only 15 minutes away. "The hotel is very beautiful and charming, but unfortunately, the hospitality was quite disappointing. From the check-in experience to the cleanliness of our room, the service did not meet expectations. I mentioned a few issues in the room to the staff upon our arrival, but they made no effort to resolve them.
Housekeeping was also below standard—the room wasn’t cleaned properly, and the linens weren’t changed every two days as stated in their policy. Mornings felt unwelcoming, with staff appearing unhappy and not even offering a simple “hello” or “good morning.”
There’s a strange, tense atmosphere that’s hard to ignore. It’s a pity, because the hotel itself is lovely and the breakfast was delicious. However, the staff all seemed stressed or sad, which took away from the overall experience.

"Most relaxing stay at the quiet end of Plaka. Well run hotel. The most beautiful beach for swimmers! We were fine here for three nights without a car. The bus runs from the port and stops right in front of the hotel. Multiple places to rent sunbeds on the beach and tavernas within walking distance. "

"BEST VIEW IN ALL OF NAXOS! We even cancelled our reservation at Rotunda because why drive 30 minutes for a sunset when we can get an even better view from the comfort of our own home? The location is easy to find, especially with the directions that the host provided. The one lane road in and out can see daunting but once you do the drive a couple of times, it is a piece of cake. It is a 15 - 20 minute drive to the market / beach / restaurants but everything was easily accessible.The outdoor space is amazing - we spent all day in the pool and ate every meal at the outdoor dining area. The inside of the house has all upgraded amenities, including a state of the art kitchen where we could prepare meals. We utilized the concierge service to have a private chef cater lunch on our first day, which was absolutely delicious. Chef Kostantina also shared her recipes so I can try to recreate her dishes at home. We had leftovers for days so I recommend booking this early in your trip. The only minor inconvenience was the lack of towels. The information pamphlet provided said we would each have 2 towels. We had 1 towel for each person to use for both the the pool/beach and shower. We ended up just doing laundry more frequently but it is an opportunity for improvement. Located on the top of the mountain, the property is incredibly quiet and secluded. We loved our stay and would highly recommend this house to anyone that wants a quiet week away from the hustle and bustle of life. "
