"We were staying 4 nights at the Jolly Roger Hotel. Fantastic staff, comfortable Hotel room, great view over the beach and a very good breakfast made this a stay to remember. A bit of noise from the trains passing by, but all in all JR deserves full score! "

-great, large pool
-not far from the beach and centro storico
-great, cold AC
-big showers and big bathrooms
-great rooms with views
Negatives:
-pool chairs are uncomfortable and needed a cushion
-check in. If you arrive at 1pm, you are screwed because they are on break until 3pm. You have to sit in the heat and wait.
-if you book through Expedia, apparently you aren't guaranteed an apartment with AC. We had to spend our first night sweating the entire night due to not getting a...
"Wonderful staff, wonderful view, wonderful pool and gym and lots of food. Its is a premier hotel and very unique. If you stay do look at all the historic photos in the main building describing a life in Allasio 100 years ago."
"It was very nice to be there in the Locanda San Rocco, warm welcome, kind treatment from the owners. I want to thank both of you for the stay, breakfast and everything else... also for storing my jeans that I had forgotten and recovered a week after my stay :)

"Room was not as described online, 2 single beds instead of a double (states online that the room sleeps 3, but nowhere for a 3rd person to sleep - lucky there was only 2 of us), smell of stale smoke as soon as you enter the room, no toilet roll provided, no towels provided, unclean room and balcony and incredibly run down, states online that parking is 5 euro per night and they expect 10 euro per night when you arrive. We are not fussy people and often sleep in hostels but this is not a 3 star ‘hotel’ - it should be a 1 star! "
"We were looking forward to a relaxing break at this hotel. Our room was supposed to be a superior room but was disappointing. When I booked on the hotels.com website it showed the hotel having a pool and this was a chief selling point. There was no pool. The hotel is right on the edge of Pietra Ligure so it's a fair walk to where restaurants and shops are. The hotel restaurant has a limited menu and is quite pricey especially for wine. As we weren't happy overall we cut short our stay. In fairness the breakfast was very good and the views from the restaurant were outstanding "
"Very basic room. There was not a even a paper cup in the room if one wanted to have a sip of water. Electrical outlet were falling out of the wall, one outlet and bed light were not working."
