A lovely hotel set in a quiet village and what looks like an old house . Lovely rooms with very good facilities . Staff could not have been move helpful and friendly . Would love to come and stay again but a little expensive.
A lovely experience. The building is historical and beautiful and the staff warm and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast is available, but if you are having dinner, check first, for instance they don’t do dinner in the evening on Sunday. The village is also beautiful and has options for dining. The beer garden is a great space to chill out.
The family suite was a great option for our trip. 2 teenage girls loved their room and we had a fab main-bedroom with superking bed.
Bathroom was well equipped - the shower was so very nice - powerful and warm.
We enjoyed spending time in the bar / lounge where premium drinks were offered. The team were on hand to help with any requests we may have had.
The breakfast offer was really well enjoyed - cooked fresh with personalisation welcomed.
We will definitely be back as it gave us access to Dorset and East Devon beaches, as well as nice market towns like Dorchester.
Our room was lovely and clean bar area adequate but outside areas could do with a bit of TLC breakfast Continental only offer poached eggs and boiled eggs with a selection of croissants, cereals small car park
Very nice old inn hotel. Nicely renovated and providing all modern facilties. Excellent restaurant, both dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Very friendly staff. On arrival the room for the three of us was not available due to a technical issue and they gave us two fourposter rooms. Short drive to the Jurassic Coast and also nice small village to take a short walk after dinner or in the morning.

Without doubt the bedroom had the creakiest floorboards, the squeakiest door hinges and the least soundproofed floor. You could hear everything in the bar below.
The Ollerod is a delightful hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful, we were shown personally to our room on arrival. The room was lovely, with a beautiful rug on the floor and fantastic bed. Incredibly comfortable.
The whole hotel was very clean and everything was done to comply with new Covid rules. Unfortunately this did mean no tea in the rooms, no toiletries or hairdryer but these were available on request and we were warned ahead of our arrival so were able to make arrangements.
We also had dinner in the restaurant which was superb, a good size menu and the food was excellent. Wine was reasonably priced too. Food delivery and empty plate removal was well organised with a separate table besides ours to facilitate.
Plus Beaminster is a lovely village to look around and very quiet
I'm sure we will be back

Liked: Staff & service
The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We stayed in an annex room that was rather small and not very well presented. There was no a/c and fortunately the weather was warm for the time of year because there was no heating. The gardens were a real asset but needed some TLC. Overall we had a pleasant stay but the Covid situation did have an effect on the room service and breakfast choice.
Amazing hotel especially during this testing time.
Had a lovely time in this great hotel.
Amazing breakfast and dinners.
Thank yo for looking after us at this tricky time for the hospitality industry. We will look forward to a second visit.
Excellent stay and wonderful meals. A little noisy in the early evening but our room was positioned as such; had no impact on sleep or the overall stay. Would certainly return and have recommended.

We stayed in room 6 on the ground floor, a comfortable and spacious Deluxe Double with nice garden views. The room decor does look a little worn now. The bathroom would benefit from an update. The door in the corridor outside this room tends to slam, so can be annoying until everyone has gone to bed.
Really good breakfast with a refreshingly simple and high quality buffet and cooked-to-order options included.
Warm, friendly staff made us feel welcome.
Rather expensive. We felt we were paying Central London prices for the room. The food in the restaurant also seems pricey while good quality.
The highlight was the massage treatment from Lovegrove. Hannah was amazing, competent, sensitive and responsive to our needs. Quite simply the best treatment we have ever had (and good value). She was also very flexible with timing, allowing us to each have a massage on Sunday morning. If you have the chance, treat yourself! You will not regret it.
Comfortable with great staff, and service (very welcoming and accommodating all our requests), and excellent food; made for a really relaxing and memorable birthday!
Stunning setting, beautiful independant hotel, THE COMFIEST bed we have ever slept in (to the point, will be buying one!) And the smallest bath tub ever, which sadly let it down..on the hottest weekend of the year.
Would definately recommend & stay again, just not room 7 or ask for a walk in shower.
Booked the very last minute and by chance. We discovered this amazing place with lovely rooms, a fabulous garden excellent food, and excellent service. Owner Silvana is an amazing host.
We spent two nights at the Ollerod for our 2nd wedding anniversary and were spoilt from the moment we arrived.
The hotel was beautifully appointed, the service and knowledge of the entire team led by Silvana was first class and the food was exceptional throughout our stay.
We had a Tasting menu on the second night cooked by owner/ head chef Chris and was without doubt one of the best meals we have ever had and equals the best London could offer.
We had a fabulous stay, loved exploring the local area and will definitely be back. Thank you.
Fabulous stay, wonderful building. Extremely welcoming and helpful friendly staff. Fab breakfast. Great proximity to the coast. Definitely recommend it.
