"Sent details of the self check-in/access procedure in advance and this went very smoothly. There is free parking on the street outside, but I chose an off street area off the nearby side street. The hotel is a lovely old building, full of character. But there are two fairly steep staircases if you're on the top floor and a narrow landing, so it's easier to bring in what you need in a holdall /backpack /grocery bag than lug suitcases. Our room on the third floor was clean and comfortable and everything worked. There is a common room with a microwave, fridge-freezer, toaster, kettle and coffee machine, seating area and TV. But some rooms (including ours) open directly onto this area so if other guests were using it late or early you might get disturbed - we didn't during our stay. We noted a toaster and a two ring electric hob on the second floor. We ate at the popular Mexican restaurant across the street (we booked a table on the Saturday evening and saw other potential diners advise of a 90 minute wait for a table ...)."
