This cozy cabin was an absolute delight! A perfect blend of rustic and modern, with all the appliances and connectivity of modern living set in a beautiful wooded area away from it all. We took the advice of other reviewers to bring our groceries in rather than try to shop locally. The bedrooms were much larger than expected, and the living room nicely appointed. There were even books on the bookshelves! Highly recommend this property for a stay any season of the year (we were there in autumn).

The keypad at the door is slightly confusing (but probably mostly b/c I rarely interact with these) but beyond that this was an easy, clean, comfortable rental.

The place was safe, clean and secluded. 5-minute drive to Woodstock and close to a state park. We would definitely stay there again. The owners were very accommodating and communicative.

We loved this place! We were going to a show at Bearsville theater which is right down the road, maybe a 2-minute drive. It’s also really close to downtown Woodstock. The owners thought of everything and there are clear directions for check-in, WiFi, local attractions, etc. After a long, hot day of hiking, we had a great time hanging out in the yard with a fire. The AC worked great when we needed it. The only notes I would make are if you’re super tall you might have to duck down when you go upstairs, and if you have a low-slung sports car it might be a challenge to get up the gravel driveway. If you have a regular sedan or crossover you should be fine though.Would come again!!

Small, cozy cabin convenient to Woodstock restaurants and hiking. We enjoyed hiking Kaaterskill falls, Overlook Mountain and Echo Lake. Catskill mountain pizza and Bear Cantina were very good. Woodstock meats had great sandwiches to take on the trails. House is a little more worn than depicted in the pictures but had everything we needed for a short stay. Bed was comfortable. With the added fees, I think the total price is slightly high. Overall we had an enjoyable stay.

This is an oasis that is a detached home next door to the owners' property. The owners were welcoming, provided clear directions, yet respected privacy. The home is set back from the road so it is completely quiet and has a private yard for relaxing. Although it is in the quiet neighborhood of Bearsville, it is a short drive (10 minutes) to Woodstock and all it has to offer. The house was clean and comfortable with a table in the kitchen and everything you need for basic meals. All of the bed linens and bathroom towels were provided, making it easy to relax.

Unfortunately, we booked what looked like a cute, old cottage.. As we pulled into the driveway, the "guest parking" was up against a fence that made it extremely difficult to unload our large family van. The bushes were overgrown on the deck, BBQ grill was small and very dirty. Inside the cottage, at first glance, was great! Love these old places. However, the livingroom rug was dirty and smelled like urine. The kitchen ceiling had a hole in it by the chimney with fibers and paint hanging down. When I contacted Evolve, they made contact with the owners (which are in the big house on the property) promptly. I am traveling with my elderly mother and our accommodations should be suitable for her health. And this wasn't. However, with all of this simple fixers, the place is cute. Needs more work. Owners need to accept recommendations on their properties from their customers. We left 1 day early and were refunded for the 2nd day. We hope your family isn't as picky as mine is, but health and family above all else.

While the cottage in quaint. The bedrooms are upstairs and the one bathroom is down. For a couple 60 years old plus. Not great when you have to get up in the middle of the night to pee. No Microwave, No cable, All streaming and not exactly user friendly. House needs more light. Paper accordion shades on the windows with clothes pins. House could be cozy - TV should be high up in one of the corners of the room and L-shaped couch would help. Owner uses rice lights to try to light up stair way and kitchen. comfortable sitting outside - buggy, leaves , etc. No fall clean up done. I doubt the area was exterminated. Fire pit- cute idea- Needs area cleaned up outside. Paper shades on some windows and nothing on others - made us feel like we were in a fishbowl. Real shades needed on every window. The cottage is cute and an older house - could be very cozy with some more furnishings, lighting,TLC etc. Need daisy stickers on tub bottom to not slip in shower. HVAC system takes a little trial and error - before getting it to work as you want. Cottage is about 7 miles from Woodstock in a decent location. Lots of natural food store options around, gluten free, dairy free, vegan, etc. We would not stay here again due to the bathroom locale to the bedrooms. If we were younger - perhaps.

The Cottage is quaint and older. There is central air. The system takes a little practice to get used to. The layout is living room , kitchen and bathroom downstairs and 2 bedrooms upstairs. The rooms could use more light. The owner uses rice lights to add light to the stairs and to the kitchen is really not sufficient. There is no microwave, so reheating food is challenging. The living room is small and could be cozy with an L -shaped couch., rather than the straight couch there. Two people and a small dog had difficulty getting comfortable on the couch to watch TV. The TV should be placed high in a corner for comfort in watching TV. Upstairs bedrooms (2) small with sloped ceilings. Hit our heads a bunch of times before we got used to the sloped ceilings. There is no cable for the TV just streaming. Smart TV asks you to provide your cable sign in, etc. The mattress in the Master Bedroom is comfortable and the sheets were 100 % cotton. The towels were substantial, thick and fluffy. Some windows were covered with paper Accordion shades with Clothes pins and some windows had no shades. At night , with the lights on- we felt like we were in a fishbowl. All windows need real shades. The camp fire area is cute . We were not comfortable sitting outside as the area had not been tended to. We are a retired couple who frequent the bathroom several times at night and are used to our one story home. So navigating stairs to go to the bathroom was not ideal. Better if we were younger. The bathtub could use the daisy stick-ons to keep someone from slipping in the tub. The house is about 7 miles from Woodstock. The supermarkets in the area are big on natural, vegan, gluten free, dairy free. Getting just plain food not as easy as we would have liked. Everything is pricey in this area, restaurants, etc. The kitchen has an electric stove, sink, refrigerator, 2 slice toaster and a coffee maker ( not a Keurig). The counter top is small. There is an antique table and 4 chairs in the kitchen. We did not spend any considerable time outside as the bugs were getting to us. The grounds could use a little TLC as could the deck and house interior and exterior. Location good, area quiet. A restful weekend. Just too old to be doing nightly trips downstairs to the bathroom.

The place is very cozy and sweet. The ceiling upstairs is a bit low so I'd be mindful if you're very tall. Otherwise, the location was perfect. I always prefer a place that's not right on the road. Our son slept in the smaller room, which he found comfy and felt safe in. He's on the spectrum so that is especially important to us. Everyone was great, we needed batteries for the remote and they came right over with batteries in hand. It's always a plus when folks are pet-friendly. Our dog got to sniff around the perimeter of the house and play fetch which was great. We found the place to be clean and would definitely go back. PS: We really appreciated the check-in and check-out times. That was very helpful.

The property though small was more than adequate for my wife and I. The location was perfect, right down the road, 10mns from the Main Woodstock, and a host of other activities and venues. Cell service is almost non existence around the property though the wifi was sufficient. The property was very clean and charming. I would definitely return during the warmer months to take advantage of the deck and the grill.

We were very happy with our stay. It's a very charming small home. It has a very nice yard for our 1yr old poodle. The owners brought over extra wood for the firepit. We saw a lot of wild life. Bears, snakes, deer and coyote. That was the highlight for my husband. It was close to Woodstock. The Mexican Restaurant by The Bear Theater was very good. We would definitely stay again.

We were looking for a peaceful getaway in the woods and that was what we got. Very hospitable hosts and lovely outdoor space. Having owners on the property was very helpful. Cabin was small and cozy, nothing fancy but a lovely yard. Just what the Dr ordered!! We would definitely go back.

Loved staying here, the location was perfect. Slightly tucked away with only 4 min drive to town. The yard and house are beautiful with a modern vintage vibe. We were able to bring our dog who loved the outdoors.
The owners were very nice and everyone in the area were accommodating. Highly recommend staying here and can't wait to go back.

This little home was everything that we needed and more. While minimal, it had everything for a comfortable, enjoyable stay. Everything was incredibly clean. The few days that we were here saw some incredibly cold (10F) temperatures but you wouldn't be able to tell as the home was so well insulated and heated. The shower ran well and hot, great water pressure. Loved the smart TV, gave us some great options for the days that were too cold to venture outside for long. Beds were incredibly comfy and the quiet outside lent to some much needed slow mornings. We appreciated the yard that's set in away from the main road, our pup had a fantastic time zooming around. Location can't be beat, short distance from all the treasures of the Catskills. Wi-fi was strong but none of us could get phone signal (AT&T) but perhaps that was for the best! Thanks for a great time!
