"Most important, BE AWARE that the rooms are EXTREMELY small, probably smaller than any other hotel room you have ever stayed in.
That should be your first consideration and if you are OK with that, the rates are affordable.
What somewhat resembles a 'bathroom" is approximately 1 metre wide and 3 metres long, with a tiny shower stall, toilet and sink.
This was surprising for us and we managed, but the other couple we were travelling with have mobility issues and had extreme difficulty.

"The hotel location was terrific, close to train and major squares. Hotel is colorfully decorated and a little worn. Staff was professional and friendly. Their English is better than my French."
"Great boutique hotel in a wonderful location to explore Lille. Staff very friendly and helpful, love the free water refilling machine and excellent price point too. We always stay here when we visit Lille."
