Cozy waterfront bamboo retreat, perfect for fishermen or outdoor enthusiasts

This property is truly a unique experience. Bring your own skiff(boat)(only flat bottom boats) and launch it in the boat ramp right next to rental, or use one of the provided kayaks or stand up paddle board. This retreat is located on a private canal off of North River waterway, this is a fishermen or duck hunters dream location. For the duck hunter, we have access to a private duck blind 1/4 mile from the house. If hunting or fishing is not your jam the bird watching is next level. We have nesting osprey very close as well as regular, cranes, egrets, ibis, sand pipers, marsh hens, doves, bald eagles, kingfishers, ducks, geese, swan, purple martins, pelicans, sea gulls, and much more.
You are permitted to camp on the property as well, or bring your own RV. The retreat sleeps 2 but more can stay if you do decide to camp. The boat ramp and kayak are shared with another VRBO up the road, there are plenty to accommodate everyone

Retreat-like
This property really lent itself to relaxation and enjoying the outdoors. Location is excellent with marsh views as far as the eye can see and a lovely canal for paddle boarding and kayaking. I loved having the outdoor shower and fire pit for the evenings. Plenty of seating for sunning, lounging around and a bonus hammock which I really enjoyed! Thanks for the great stay and being so responsive!

Loved the stay here! So secluded, but quick access to all we wanted to do. The owners were responsive and very kind. We spent all our time outdoors and it was beautiful. The outdoor shower is divine!

Couple and 2 small dogs
The outdoor shower is a delight, nice location, cute place, but very small, 2 people maximum. The AC unit is not nearly big enough, probably not an issue normally but weather was in the 90s and inside the trailer was almost unbearable even with 5 separate fans going.

Awesome area, some opportunities
The view by the waterway is absolutely stunning. Awesome area for fishing even if i had some poor luck. time it right, getting in the water during low tide will make it impossible to return. Biggest complaint was lack of privacy with the blinds you can see everything and although the listing make's it seem more remote there are 3 other home with pretty clear line sight of the RV. We brought our own pillows and blanket, never used the wifi and we ate out for every meal so i wouldnt be able to comment on anything related to that. The RV was clean for us; i did find the cleaner smell to be a little strong so perhaps a few candles to light would have been good to have initially. Bring bug spray NC bugs are relentless!!! Pros - awesome area to stay in. -absolutely gorgeous views at night looking over the marsh -Access to Kayaks! -Bed was EXTREMELY comfortable -RV was clean upon arrival -front porch string lights, tiki lamps and fire pit were also really cool to use at night - Adam was very friendly Cons - No privacy- blinds are completely useless please change these -closer neighbors than the listing shows. - it does get very warm in bedroom so we had to buy a room fan to be able to sleep more comfortably. - it could have been me but i could not get front door to lock from the inside i had to use the key to lock door from the outside and then shut the door - the 2 times i had reached out to Adam it did take aboout hour to get a response. Could have been anomaly.
