Peaceful setting where you only pay for what you need. Check-in and Remote Desk via phone instead of fancy Front Desk is a little confusing for first time users, but the service is still top notch. They do a nice job of decorating. Lovely hanging flower pots, but caution for head bump if your taller than 5'. Grounds are well lit. Small rooms are simple but very clean and fresh. Light watercraft is available for a per-person fee for the day. Again, just call or text their number for the dock attendant to set you up. Gameroom, and yard games available for rain or shine fun. There are several grills and gazebos available for the do-it-yourself chefs. The 2 legendary Breakfast/Lunch places, and 2 Dinner restaurants are a 1-minute walk for medium or upper budgets. Parking is ample for those that need to drive. We found out that the peaceful time for us retirees was after Memorial Day and before school closes. The kid fun time is outside of that, as there's a lot of fun stuff for them to do. They have housing for every side need, from couple to multi-family big house. Just reserve early. We have decided to make this an annual thing, now that we are used to it."

"Beautiful restored hotel. Loved sitting in the rocking chairs on the second floor porch overlooking the downtown shops and restaurants. Hotel personnel went out of their way to make everything perfect. Will definitely return "
