"The bar/restaurant was closed, renovation work. You had to buy drinks from shops to drink in reception entrance. No evening food available. Room service was poor, not everyday, sporadic- empty bin one day , made the bed another day, added toiletries another. But they were efficient enough to leave an envelope for a tip! The reception desk were unhelpful, it didn’t matter what you asked the answer was the same ‘I don’t know’ They had a pool, which was cold- the sauna was off! It worked but you had to switch the timer on to operate it- therefore every 40 mins you had to reset it to warm up- one evening I did this 3 times before it was warm enough to use. I suggested this operation could be done by one of the staff in the afternoon so it would be a suitable temperature for the customers when they returned to the hotel- not sure why they couldn’t organise it! When I mentioned the temperature of the pool when checking out I was told there was a part not working, it had been like that all week but they didn’t know- obviously USA have different temperature checking standards, I thought temperature & water cleanliness would be checked every day! Effectively we paid approximately £190 a night for 7 nights, in what I would say a hotel that needed considerable money spent on it & a training program set up for the staff to help customers with their enquiries in a more positive manner! On a positive note- The hotel was in a good position in West Yellowstone & a good location for the NP."
