"We loved staying at the quality inn when we stay in Detroit Lakes 5 times a year. But the last three times we stayed the water slides and hot tub have been out of order. Which is the man reason we used to stay here. The staff has always been amazing and breakfast is great. But with five kids, we are always so disappointed to show up and the slides and/or hot tub aren’t working. "

"We come to Detroit Lakes about 5 times a year. This is the first time we’ve stayed here and we are SO HAPPY we found this gem. They sell pizzas that they’ll cook for you. Great for the kids. Clean rooms. Very warm hot tub. Shampoo and conditioner pumps in the bathrooms. Amazingly friendly staff. We found our new place!! "

"We had received towels from the housekeeper. When I went to use the bath towels after my shower they were full of long black hairs. I got them on my face and body when drying off. They were also in the tub. Disgusting!!! We had the manager call and got no where with a reasonable compromise as he told us we booked it with a third party(Expedia)."

"We loved our stay at the Lake Melissa Cabin! The house was beautiful with everything you need. The property outdoor was really nice. We especially loved the fenced in part if the yard. We took our dog Moose with us. We took him out there and were able to play ball with him off leash.We have family in the area and will definitely be back!"

"We really enjoyed this home, it was clean and cozy and the upstairs loft/bed area was perfect for my teens with a couch and TV and table of their own. The beds were comfy and the temperature was good for the weather. We enjoyed the view of the lake in front of us and the nice big deck to sit on and make smores on the fireplace. We loved the party lights ambiance and the fireplace under the TV inside at night. We were close to the Trolls trails and shopping during the fall days and a couple of bike rides using the E Bikes along the shoreline sidewalk. Beautiful location and amenities and parking and comfort. Easy to contact the Host if needed. We had an issue with the coffee maker and they remedied right away. Would recommend!"
