"The building is impressive with its great lobby (of perhaps faded art deco glamour) of another era. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The hotel is not modern and fancy, but clean and functional. Room was very comfortable. Kiel is spread out and the hotel is a bit far to walk with luggage, as I discovered, but a straight shot to train station and downtown. The terrace in front of lobby was a nice place to sit to enjoy the breezes and chill (it's Kiel!), at least until smokers claim it as their own. The breakfast area is very nice and the breakfast excellent: I highly recommend the breakfast, on its merits, but especially since there are few restaurants nearby."

"We fell in love with this delightful little cottage. Every inch had been thoughtfully designed, making it both cosy and surprisingly practical. The peaceful garden, sunny terrace, authentic wood-fired sauna, and the beautiful beach just a few minutes away made it a perfect retreat. And the Strandkörbe were a wonderful bonus, so comfortable and ideal for enjoying long, lazy hours by the sea."

"Very good and stylish hotel. Amenities and TV and beds, all top notch! Parking on premises 25€ Breakfast could not be booked when reserving the room with Hotels.com. At the reception they wanted 54 euro for 2xbreakfast. However they gave us free parking as compensation, ok."

"This hotel had a coach party staying so we were relegated to the anex a separate building a short walk away, it was clean but basic. Parking was free but a drive through the village. The restaurant had a good choice and was of a good standard. Breakfast was good. This hotel is cheap choice for a passing stay. Just as the coach tour was doing, maybe not a full holiday."
