Peninsula is down the street

This is supposed to be a new hotel, but room looks worn. Powder room in the suite is comically small.

Booked a corner room for a week, because I like it as I saw it on YT. Was upgraded to bigger room, with separated living room, but asked to have the corner room. I really like the corner room and I think it was the right decision to choose this one. The room is super nice with a good view on Beijing (view on the Peninsula Hotel). Rest of there hotel room was as you expect it. Super nice and comfy bed, awesome bathroom spacious rooms. Hotel is in an excellent location. 2 min walk to Wangfujing Street and most guided tours meeting points are near by. 1949 Roasted Duck Restaurant is also in walking distance. (You want to go there!) Hotel staff is also very friendly and helpful in booking your trips and buying tickets. Forgot something in the hotel and they helped me to get it back.

I was disappointed I did not get breakfast which was always included in my stay. I think Expedia has to be very clear in their pricing what is Not Included! It is so unfair to be given my travel status, and there is no “free breakfast”!

Il personale è gentile ma, e qui vengono gli aspetti negativi, non tutti parlano bene inglese ed è stato complicato comunicare le nostre richieste alimentari. Mia figlia è celiaca ed in fase di prenotazione ho richiesto esplicitamente se fornivano colazioni senza glutine. Pur avendoci assicurato la possibilità di avere pasti senza glutine l'unica cosa che ci hanno preparato per quattro giorni è stato uovo strappazzato e riso, del pane di segale . L'ultimo giorno ci hanno addirittura detto che non avevano il riso

Amazing would stay again. The hotel is in an ideal location for places such as the Forbidden City and nearby attractions. Also located near the metro. The service is above and beyond here and very attentive, even for foreigners.

Luxurious but dark hotel

Lived up to the Waldorf Astoria name in design, luxury, and price. The hotel is very dark though. This hotel is the antithesis of bright and modern.
