"Be aware that the hotel reception close down at 19:00 and if you haven’t checked-in by then you have to find another place to stay. I travel a lot but rarely see this rigid routine. Normally there is an option to collect your key in a coded box or something after the reception is closed. But okay, fair enough, it’s my mistake to not follow these rules. But no card payment in 2025?! That’s a big drawback which easily can be fixed. You leave it to your guests to spend 30 minutes to find an ATM...

"Unfriendly at dinner didn’t tell us that they didn’t cards until after we ate and no atm in town. Steep Stairs no elevator and offered no help"

"I can't imagine a better place to stay. Utterly beautiful. Room was massive and comfy. The restaurant was beyond amazing. And the staff was lovely. If you happen to get stranded in a small town in Germany, this is exactly the spot you want to be in."

"Alles war super. Ich habe nichts zu bemängeln. Vermieterin ist wirklich sehr nett. Die Wohnung war sogar von der Garage erreichbar, also wie beschrieben. Schön und groß. Gerne wieder 👍😃"

"Geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet. Sehr gute Lage, alles in kurzer Zeit erreichbar. Sehr nette und hilfsbereite Vermieter. Auch mit 4 Personen kein Problem. Die kleine Spülmaschine in der Küche war sehr praktisch. Direkt vor der Tür (wirklich direkt davor) hält der Bäckerwagen 4x die Woche. Sehr netter Kontakt auch zu Nachbarn und Dorfbewohnern. Sehr empfehlenswert."

"Everything and anything in the castle stinks with cat urine! The sanitation department should check this place. A cat killed a mouse right in front of us in the "lobby"... The "apartment" rented to us was not a true rental, it was someone else's full time apartment that was cleaned for us. It had all the articles of the owner. Really gross. The people who live and work there really try hard and are nice, but not disclosing the cat pee stink and the fact that the property was someone's permanent...

"The staff were spectacular -very helpful and kind. Room was clean, and modern. Lobby was nice. Easy walk to town and train station with a small grocery store at the other end of the parking lot. Shower was not easy to climb into and wouldn’t work for tall people. Also, the temperature control was confusing and didn’t seem to change the temperature no matter how we changed it. Still- I would definitely stay there again, and would recommend it."

"Gut gelegene Unterkunft. Leider gibt es kein Abendessen und der Name ist auch nicht mehr Aktuell es ist kein Brauhaus mehr. Ansonsten gute Möglichkeit sein Fahrrad unterzubringen und leckeres Frühstück. "
