"The front desk ladies were the best! "

"It was wonderful with the exception of the fact that one of the only reasons I stayed there was because it had a swimming pool but the pool has been closed and they've been waiting for over a week after they've gotten it fixed for paperwork from the county and apparently the county hasn't given it to them I don't understand why!! Hopefully it will be open before I leave on the 22nd!! But otherwise my stay has been fantastic!!!"

"The same poor lady at the front desk was working every time we went through the lobby. She was very nice and gave us good directions and delivery options. My daughter was worried about her and hoped she would get a day off soon. Overall stay was great. Large number of school groups visiting DC and staying at the hotel but staff kept things going and clean. There were multiple attendees cleaning and restocking during breakfast. Can't say enough good things about our stay. They even gave our four legged child treats, food, and toys."

"I love the hotel. Just wish they had 2 Elevators. Better pillows and bed they were too hard. Need softer pillows and bed. Felt like I was sleeping on cardboard. Also they need to let the 3rd party know you have to pay for parking. Didn’t know we had to pay for parking until I got there. It’s 12.00 a day for parking and if they are going to charge for parking they need bigger parking lot. Hard trying to find parking if you come in anfter 10 or 11:00. Other than that the hotel was great. Loved the room. Didn’t try the breakfast because we didn’t have time. "

"The house is lovely, with a kitchen dreams are made of — great for cooking, conversing, and eating. Tons of space, everything you could possibly need to cook or bake, and plenty of storage in the cabinets and pantry for all your snacks and ingredients.The fire pit in the front yard was perfect for roasting marshmallows (the provided camp chairs and corn hole set made it even better), and the picnic table next to the grill was great for sitting outside while the burgers were on. The private dock is lovely and well maintained, with stairs down to the shoreline, and great for fishing or just relaxing. Plus, the front porch and balcony are well situated to enjoy the sunrise or just sit and watch the boats — and even dolphins! — go by. If the weather’s not cooperating, the sun room’s a comfortable substitute with the same great view. It’s about a mile from the main beaches and commercial areas of Colonial Beach, so it’s much quieter (when there aren’t people shooting off their leftover 4th of July fireworks ), but you’ll likely want to bike or drive to restaurants or the beach. Book your golf cart well in advance!We had an issue with the water heater at 10pm the night we arrived, but Dan responded within minutes and put us in touch with the property manager, who offered to come out despite the late hour. It ended up being a quick fix I could take care of, but it was great to know how attentive and responsive both the host and property manager were. Can’t wait to come back!"
