Really enjoyed our stay as the resort was fairly quiet due to winter season. Staff were always helpful and helped us arrange excursions around the island.
There are no restaurants within waling distance so with pay for the dinner buffet or be prepared to eat out or bring food back to your room.
The location is beautiful. Really peaceful and picturesque. I would recommend that you hire a car because you can get to the highlights of the island better and it’s more cost effective than taxis.
What makes this hotel, in addition to the beautiful grounds and beach, are the staff ! They are so attentive and professional and friendly. Felt really welcome and cared for. The breakfast was varied and tasty and was very good quality. Room service was prompt and the service fee is worth it.
Our room was very spacious. I didn’t go on holiday to watch tv but it would have been nice to have some English entertainment. Outdoor private shower was really nice. The cleaners always did a good job. Wasn’t keep on the outdoor bathtub, but it’s there.
The buggy system to get to and from the car park was excellent.
Gym was clean and adequate.
Finally, the spa was good. I only used the hammam once and I had everything to myself.
Very beautiful property with great architecture and beach. Great for relaxing

Great staff, the So Sofitel brand is consistently good, oh and no late check out charge, always a nice touch not to feel 'fleeced' when the room is most likely unoccupied until long after we"ve left.
Best vacation my wife and I have had hands down. We have traveled the world since we were both young adults and we could not have been happier. Great resort and great people!

On the positive side: it is nicely located next to a nice beach with calm water. Big pool that overlooks the beach. Staff is nice and professional.
On the negative side,The hotel is a bit dated. And the common area could be maintained better. Rooms could need a freshen up. We had electric issues, phone didn’t work, WiFi was super weak, to name a few things. There is also a lot of mosquitoes and the buggy service that you rely on to get around is very slow, leaving you waiting for a long time every time. Not value for money in my opinion.

Beautiful hotel and beach. Staff couldn’t be more accommodating and were so helpful with assisting with baby food. Hospitality was great . A few points, the buffet was nothing compared to other 4-5* resorts we have stayed at across the island, no ice cream at dessert for the children, was quite disappointing. On the last day, staff kept entering our room without ringing first at the very least which was really strange and inappropriate.
We liked the friendliness and kindness of all the staff we met at the hotel and were made to feel that nothing was too much trouble. We would like to thank everyone and especially Raj and Divya for always being there to make our stay completely stress and hassle free, chef Vinay and his team for the delicious variety of wonderful dishes that catered for all tastes and a special thank you for the effort they made to tweak the recipes to cater for my allergies , all the waiting and bar staff especially Jamy who always made us feel welcome and we would also like to thank the spa team for the incredible treatments they provided to make our stay even more memorable .
The whole holiday experience was unforgettable from our cleaner Noora to the gardeners and buggy drivers who were a delight to meet and always had a smile on their faces … thank you, Sam & Ruth .
Breakfast menu offered a large varied choice to suit lots of tastes and requirements.
Staff were very friendly and accommodating.
Location was good, beach clean quiet and secluded from public access.
Rooms were large with all good working order facilities, modern and comfortable.
Pool large and clean offering beach and sea view.
3 on site restaurants offer buffet, a la carte or bar meals.
Fantastic hotel in every way. Except that we had a major problem with out toilet (did not function - aka bad luck, can happen everywhere) and problem with the towel deliveries…
We stayed 3 weeks at this hotel. The facilities are very disabled unfriendly and a struggle for those with mobility issues. Upon entering the prison like gates, you are reliant on golf buggies to get you to reception and your room so if drivers or buggies are lacking, you’re stuck.
Breakfast buffet restaurant is awful. Birds eat off the serving utensils, birds eat the crepes that are pre-prepared and left out for guests. We couldn’t understand why they don’t put covers on all the food. There are bird faeces on the dining seat covers, tables are grotty, the filth is endless. Buffet options are basic for breakfast and dinner. Chefs are awful, the male and female at the front making eggs mock guests and are generally quite rude. One female staff member shouted at juniors whenever she was on shift, it was so unpleasant for a hotel that promotes peace and tranquility. We saw 3 weeks of this and towards the end we did not eat breakfast at their restaurant. We bought food at the supermarket and kept it in the room, far more tasty and less negativity first thing in the morning. It’s also best to pay for a taxi and eat outside the hotel for dinner, there are good restaurants around.
Rooms are filthy. I’m sure housekeepers do their best but they don’t have the right cleaning items. Our shower was covered in mould.
We raised several issues with management but nothing was rectified. Be careful with taxi drivers affiliated with the hotel and have the price written down prior to travel.
Hotel is really nice. Fining was really good. The beach is nice and us posdible to enjoy nice walks and, water activities. Swimming is not easy due to water currents and in done areas a lot of algae
Good looking resort, poor pool, looks like a repurposed fountain rather than a pool to swim in. Some great staff and some very average, so service inconsistent. Best for couples who want to stay in a secluded part of the island with nothing happening in their resort.
