"This is a terrific, versatile, and historical place. I stayed in one of the original buildings, with wood floors and thin walls. The room was looking out over the front of the property and the street beyond. The room was understandably small, seeing the origins, and the price was pleasantly suitable to the size despite the sense of history in it and the areas of the business immediately around it.
The food onsite was very good, as was the service on all counts, restaurant or complementary...
"Online images show the renovated rooms, but upon arrival it was clear the actual building had rough edges. We were only in town a couple of nights, so I ignored my initial gut feeling. With further inspection I saw many other flaws including: cracks, chips, and possessions leftover from previous guests. When bringing this up with the staff, they claimed they were completely booked so we couldn’t switch rooms. Not a problem. They said they could remove what we found but when I had asked if they...
"Terrific staff. When we had to shorten her stay by one day they handled it beautifully. They warned us breakfast on Monday and Tuesday is pretty scant. It's a charming area of town and of the region also"
"The AC was amazing and the man at the front desk was very nice and friendly. The property itself wasn't the most up to date and the bed was extremely firm. Luckily there was a cote in my room for some reason and that was extremely comfortable so ended up sleeping in that. Needed some updating for sure but was clean enough save for a few hairs in the washroom, no bugs. Good for a one night stay."
