"We had a very nice time staying at Torre Mar. It was very conveniently located. We were 5 families...me (the mom) and my 4 kids, their spouses and 6 grandkids. Everyone had their own "suite". The advertising is a little confusing. I thought we were renting a "home", and then realized it was an apartment/hotel....but as I said, it was very nice for each family to have private space. The owner John was very friendly, although we did have some miscommunication issues, which is interesting...

"Staff: The hotel staff were very communicative with us from beginning to end. They arranged a taxi for us from the airport and let us leave our baggage there after check in before our ferry out! Staff were kind and the breakfast staff gave us great advice for where to go during our stay. Breakfast: was great as well and vegetarian for me! The location: It’s a few minutes walk out from the main strip but not far at all. We walked everywhere! To the restaurants, bars, Darwin station, and port"
