"Wonderful property with amazing hosts! They were incredibly responsive and provided clear, detailed instructions for everything. The cabin is fully equipped with everything you could need for a short or extended stay. We especially loved the two fire pits—one near the cabin and another by the pond. The boathouse was a bonus, stocked with camping chairs, kayaks, life vests, and more! Even the dirt road leading to the cabin was in good shape, if you’re not driving a truck or SUV. This place is now my top choice for future stays!"

"It was stated that there was an ocean view and I expected it would be from the front window or a deck but the view was from the bedroom !!!! The place was warm , would be nice if the place had a toaster or toaster oven . "

"I was looking for a few days away, to enjoy some solitude in my favorite Canadian destination. I found exactly what I needed and wanted. Relatively close to St. John's - Norman's Cove - Long Cove is a delightful community, with friendly, welcoming people, and great ocean views.Karl's property was cozy, well equipped, and provided a fantastic base from which to take day trips to the Baccalieu Trail, Trinity, and St. John's. The property is located just a few minutes walk to two really excellent trails - Pembly Cove and Seaside. Karl was an excellent and responsive host. Check-in was easy. Each of two bedrooms had ensuite bathrooms with showers - with a never ending supply of hot water, the bed was super comfortable, and loads of spare linen, towels, blankets, etc. I really appreciated the ability to access the washer and dryer - always nice to get that done and pack clean clothes to take home.Overall, I really enjoyed my 5 nights at Karl's Starboard Suite @ The Homestead. I will hope to be back at some point in my future visits to The Rock."

"We stayed at Harry's Place for two months and cried when we left. It is like staying with Nan and Grandpa if they had updated appliances. It feels warm, secure, and comforting. The property managers live right next door and are very helpful but not obtrusive. We enjoyed the deck with the view of the harbor and mountains in the distance, but what was best was the view from the world's most comfortable couch where you could look out at the ever-changing weather. The decor is homey with vintage touches of Danish Modern. The kitchen is well-equipped. Stay for a week, stay for a month. Bake a cake in the bundt pan I left for you; Nan and Harry want you to be happy. "
