"The hotel was clean and decent for what it is. The restaurant was only open at breakfast (although the bar was open at night for drinks). The beds were very hard, and the pillows very tiny. There was no shampoo or conditioner in the shower, just a dispenser with something that looked like Dawn dish detergent. The staff didn't speak English for the most part, but we were able to get by with our minimal Spanish knowledge."

"So happy we stayed at the Spirit hotel. Hotel was clean and nice and centrally located just outside the downtown area (you will need a car or uber to get to the downtown area). The food at the restaurant was excellent. We got in late and didn’t want to travel to town and I wasn’t expecting a lot food-service at the hotel but was surprised how everything we ordered was great. We travelled from the US to see the eclipse. Our airline lost our luggage and when we got it back it, and finally opened it when we got to Burgos, it had clearly been left out on the tarmac in the rain for a while and the contents sat in the water for 6 days. It smelled horrendously of mold and the hotel graciously offered to wash out clothes for us. It was such a kind gesture that we so appreciate. Between the location, they restaurant and the hotel staff I would gladly stay there again - 10/10 experience."

"Great property with fabulous, well kept rooms and lovely staff. A great pool area and lots of activities for families as well as a nice play area. Breakfast not so great sadly, eggs were green, bread and pastries were stale and hard, even juice was bitter and acidic. Sadly no vegetarian food at the restaurant last night either so, have left hungry… but it was a really nice hotel. If you’re not bothered about food, it’s definitely worth the stay!"

"Charming and beautiful! One-of-a-kind! Good location, beautifully restored old convent however I would like to see some modern updates with room decoration and A/C , which was much needed in summer."
