"No coffee in rooms. You do have a fridge. You are 2 minutes from the sea but no where to swim. Hotel pool is lovely but drinks are expensive. I would recommend a sort break here. PS the breakfast is lovely too."

"We booked this property 6/15/24 & were to stay 9/11/24 to 9/25/24. After traveling 22 hours to get there on 9/11 we were told by the host he had rented the villa to someone else for those dates but had a small 3rd floor apt. we could have. NOT A VILLA BY THE OCEAN. We never got any advance notice ..."

The Roman amphitheatre of Syracuse is one of the best preserved structures in the city of Syracuse, Sicily, from the early Imperial period. Between the arch and the amphitheatre, there was a monumental fountain, fed by a large cistern which has not yet been identified. A separate cistern provided water to the amphitheatre itself - it is preserved under the nearby church of San Nicola.
