Hotel BCL Podium La Nucia

"Large rooms and bathrooms, nice clean and modern. great location close to the tennis academy. However do note that it is incredibly difficult to get a taxi or uber to come up there for shorter rides, we tried asking the front desk for a taxi which they called but the taxi never showed after 30mins of waiting when they said it would be 15mins, the front desk did follow up with the taxi company then but they just said they were busy. We ended up being able to get an uber but that also required 20+mins of waiting, we ended up renting a car in Benidorm and wished we’d done that on arrival in Alicante airport. The breakfast is quite good with a wide variety of options. My only nitpick is that I wish they had some more yoghurt/granola/fruit options. They did have some yoghurts but in mini cups and only the sweetened versions and no granola, there was fruit but in large pieces so more to eat on their own rather than mixing through yoghurt. We also had trouble parking on one of the nights when we got back from dinner and there was some kind of event that caused all parking on the hotel to be filled up and piled over onto the side of the street so we had to reverse back onto the ramp to find parking elsewhere."

"Excellent accueil du directeur Miguel et toute l’équipe de la réception. J’ai aimé la nourriture, l’emplacement de l’hôtel et la piscine avec jacuzzi. Tous les soirs il y a des groupes de musique ou animation. Il y a une terrasse (cafétéria) et nous avons 10% de réduction sur l’alcool. Les prix sont très raisonnables. La chambre a une belle petite douche avec un balcon. Nous pouvons louer un vélo pour 3 euros/heure ou 8 heures pour 4 heures. Vous payez vos breuvages et dépenses à la fin du voyage. L’hôtel offre les repas en demi-pension. Merci, je reviendrai. Sylvie"

"Excellent base for my trip to Xativa Castle. Hotel based right next to entry gate (still need to walk up the winding road- only takes 15mins to walk to castle). Hotel grounds are beautiful with excellent view of Xativa. Room was spacious with comfortable bed and spacious bathroom-shower and separate bath. Had own small terrace with table and 2 seats. Breakfast was brilliant -set in glass walled tent-great range and staff v friendly. Would advise getting snacks when in town - room fridge only has well priced beer and soft drinks. Hotel might benefit from vending machine as it is a bit of a walk into town (downhill there,uphill on return)."

"This is obviously a popular hotel for families, and included children's entertainment, a large restaurant and lots of types of accommodation. The otherwise good impression was spoiled by the overpriced extras (€15 per day for a kettle so that we could make our own cups of tea 🤔). Our room was spacious and equipped with a kitchen, and was good. There was no power socket at the desk."

"Beautiful hotel on the beach with deluxe, high-spec design across the property. The pool is amazing with comfortable sun-loungers, very private and quiet. The staff (especially Daniela on reception) were excellent. The food in the restaurant and pool bar was delicious. Would definitely recommend for couples and older families."
