"Usually this hotel is excellent. They were very busy and check in was having trouble checking in the construction people in front of us. Took 20 minutes. Breakfast was good. Could not eat anything except salad for the 5-6 appet. Lactose intolerant"

"I really, really liked the staff. He was so nice and personable. The property is older and could use some sprucing up but it was still clean and the bed was very comfortable. I also loved that it was quiet. I would definitely stay again."

"The 1857 is a great hotel situated conveniently in the heart of Downtown Paducah. It’s within easy walking distance to Freight House, the Quilt Museum, and anything else you should experience in this wonderful town. The modern hotel is clean, well maintained, quiet, and very comfortable. The staff is fantastic as well. Highly recommended!"
