A perfect location for getting to the old city and the new one. Al Glicine is a beautiful traditional house with a lovely garden. It felt like staying with a friend. Beatrice was so helpful giving suggestions and directions. It was a pleasure to meet her and get to stay in her home.
Beautiful house with in a quiet neighborhood, really close to both the old city and the newer part of the town with shopping areas/bars, complete facilities and really nice breakfast room!
I have stayed in Bergamo many times, but this accommodation was by far the best that i had experienced.
The host is amazing and made my experience comfortable and relaxing.
Making me feel at home.
Our stay at this delightful Bergamo bed & breakfast was great. Located in an elegant and safe residential enclave, it’s just a short walk from Old Town and the funicolare up to Città Alta, and an array of shops, bars, and superb restaurants.
The property itself feels like a hidden slice of history, with beautifully preserved details. Our room opened onto a private balcony. Small touches throughout - complimentary Wi-Fi, coffee, and Beatrice’s warm hospitality - turned a simple getaway into a genuinely memorable experience. If you crave a quaint retreat that marries historic character with modern amenities, all while putting the very best of Bergamo at your feet, look no further. Highly recommended!
Great old Vila close to Bergamo central pedestrian area. Huge rooms high ceilings great host.
Room has Bathroombut it might be on different floor. Using keys is tricky at night, there is no automatic lights, and you need to lock and unlock door. Other than that perfect stay
A very nice place for a base throughout Lombardy. The room is spacious and clean. The kitchen and bathroom are equipped with everything you need to start the day well.
Had a perfect experience! A short walk to Citta Alta as well as the center of the lower city. Beatrice was lovely and gave very clear instructions for check in. She had many options for breakfast and even put a new cork in a wine bottle I had bought but hadn't finished. A great place to stay!

Nice house in good area, not too far from Bergamo Citta Alta. Friendly and polite host. A room in a house, one of perhaps two. As the second rented, it required a walk downstairs for a bathroom. Vintage child's single bed groaned and squeaked loudly and really should be replaced or repaired. At the moment construction in the neighboring duplex house.
Had a very lovely stay in this Bed&Breakfast. It’s located very conveniently between the old town and the new town. It’s located in a quiet and safe place of Bergamo
This is not a hotel! It’s a bed and breakfast. You get a lovely room on the first floor in a very Italian mansion. The host is a lovely lady that let her into her home. As such is very cozy and homely. I like this fact very very much.
Breakfast is served in the kitchenette on the first floor too. It’s also very Italian (and thus not continental), you prepare it yourself and take what you desire from the breadbasket and the fridge along with the complementary tea and coffee
Checking in and out is very convenient… The hostess contacts you on WhatsApp and provides very detailed instructions on how to enter in case she is doing errands… you get your own key and come and go as you please. Checking out is a simple knock on the door, saying bye to a fellow human 😊
It’s clean, it’s cheap, it has the basic necessities, it’s located in the best place in town, the hostess is a lovely human being and the place is an Italian home.
Would recommend over run of your mill hotel any day if you dare go out of your comfort zone
I had an absolutely wonderful time. The house is gorgeous, the location is superb, the view is amazing. Beatrice is so welcoming and kind. I had a lovely time and if I’m ever back in bergamo this is the first place I’ll be looking for
