"We book the Majestic for one night as they had over 8+ on Expedia. Well, we arrived at reception. All went well until we were told the lift is out of action and being repaired. Which we later found out is the same story they have been telling guests for months. The very small room was embarrassing. A hole in the wall, electric socket not working, disgusting unwashed curtains, peeling paint everywhere, cracked sink, mould all over the shower head, broken wardrobe. The only plus was the bed...

DoubleTree by Hilton Brighton Metropole

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely hotel and location. Staff were very good."

Maldron Hotel Brighton City Centre

10/10 Excellent

"Lovely stay! I used to visit for short stays with my husband who was terminally ill. He passed away in June and I wanted to visit the hotel again. I took my daughter with me and we’ve had a lovely visit. The room was very clean and well prepared. The food was freshly prepared and very tasty. The dining area was clean and well organized. Staff were friendly and helpful. I will certainly visit again and certainly wouldn’t be unhappy to visit on my own as the hotel feels safe and friendly. Thank you Hotel Maldron for making my visit so enjoyable!"

The View Hotel

8/10 Good

"The hotel is beautiful, right on the seafront, parking is easy and costs just £2.50 per 24 hours. There are some lovely communal areas to sit with the most amazing views. I didn’t pay for a sea view and I wish I had because our view was terrible, just looking at the back of some buildings. Breakfast was good although quite often you were waiting for things to be topped up. A very nice touch was a free coffee machine which was open for most of the day and it had very lovely hot chocolate! All in all an excellent stay"

ibis Brighton City Centre - Station

8/10 Good

"Great location (2 minute walk from train, taxi area). Short walk to beach. Near many restaurants. Great staff. Nice lobby. Good breakfast. Clean room and OK size. Just one thing was a bit odd, which was the bathroom, which seemed added to the room later, not part of it. It was clean and decent, but seemed like an RV bathroom somehow. Anyway, not a huge deal, it just keep me from giving the place 5 stars orherwise."
