The most famous wines from the region are Pouilly-Fuissé and Saint-Véran. These are white wines (chardonnay), very aromatic, fresh and buttery. You will find it in the supermarket, in the cooperative cellar, or directly from the producer.
Beaujolais begins in Saint-Amour, which is 19 km away. Beaujolais is renowned for its 10 vintages: Brouilly, Chénas, Chiroubles, Régnié, Fleurie, and above all: Moulin à vent, Morgon (and its flagship appellation: Morgon - Côte du Py), Saint-Amour and Juliénas.
In addition to wine estates, you are close to the Roche de Solutré (Large pre-historic site), Cluny and the Château de Berzé-le-Chatel. For a more fun stay, you can visit the Caves of Azé and Touroparc with its Zoo.
The greenway runs near the cottage, which you can take for jogging, cycling, rollerblading, scootering or simply on foot.
It is a former railway line, which, now paved and on its own, links Mâcon to Chalon-sur-Saône (61 km). It passes 800 meters from the house and allows you to reach Charnay-lès-Mâcon then Mâcon on one side, and Cluny, Taizé, Cormatin and Chalon-sur-Saône by bike via the Bois-Clair tunnel (closed from October 1 to April 15).
