Overlook the surf and sand from this fourth-floor one-bedroom, one-and-a-half-bath oceanfront condo! Offering exceptional ocean views from the private balcony (with counter-height furniture), this one-level resort getaway offers a living room, dining area, and bedroom (with ceiling fan and a private half bath), as well as a full bath accessible from either the bedroom or the hallway. Both the bedroom and oceanfront sliding glass doors in the living room feature new Vertiglide room-darkening blinds. Dine at the dining table or on one of the barstools at the kitchen counter. This condo's well-equipped kitchen is home to a Keurig, stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and a complement of cookware and utensils (restocked by the owners at the beginning of each season). We loved the ocean view and the balcony furniture but the rest of the condo needs some work. The living room furniture is dated, stained and uncomfortable. The toilet in the 1/2 powder room was running when we got there and ran for two days before it was fixed. Several more minor problems like outlets not working, light bulbs burned out and no ice maker or trays. We made the best of it and had a good time in Bethany. We like Sea Colony and will likely return next year but not to this apartment.

Great ocean view!

As in other reviews, the unit is dated. The rugs were stained and in need of cleaning. The closet doors in the bedroom were off the tracks. We have been to Sea Colony a number of times and always look forward to going back again.

The location of the condo, the porch furniture, the view were all great. The condo is in serious need of updates. The carpet in the living room and bedroom are both dirty and stained. The bathroom fixtures are old and need to be updated. Bathroom ceiling is badly stained. Some electrical outlets in the bathroom and bedroom do not work, also missing lightbulbs. The toaster was broken and there was no icemaker and no ice trays in the unit.

Great views, tired condo

The grounds are very pretty and well maintained. Location is great! The balcony furniture is the best part of the condo. The condo is very dated which isn’t a big deal, BUT the living room rug is badly stained. The bedroom rug isn’t much better. Closet doors hanging off the track. The blue chair in the living room is also badly stained. The wicker living room couch is fine to sit for 15 minutes; any longer and it’s quite uncomfortable. Replacing the rugs, along with some of the furniture plus a deep clean and a fresh coat of paint would do wonders.

Place was dated which I am fine with but an overall deep clean could do this place wonders. Couch uncomfortable and full of sand, two pancake flat pillows on the bed. Found another pillow in the closet on the floor but there was not an extra pillowcase in the whole place. Cable never worked the entire time we were there. Reported it multiple times and it was never resolved, would have been nice to have tv since it was rainy during our visit.

The view was very nice and the patio furniture was comfortable. The condo seemed to be recently painted and was clean. The fixtures and appliances worked but are all dated. The living room couch was extremely uncomfortable for sitting. However, our biggest complaint was that the internet/wifi and cable were not working (we suspected the account was deactivated) and the rental agency did nothing to resolve the issue even after multiple calls and an in person visit. Would not rent from them again.

Do not stay here if you are allergic to dogs

We recently stayed at this property, and while there were some great aspects, there were also a few issues that future guests should be aware of. PROs: * The location is great—Sea Colony is a great community and the ocean views are beautiful. * The apartment layout is functional and provides enough space for a comfortable stay. * Both the TVs and Internet worked well, which was a plus for downtime and staying connected. CONs: * DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU ARE ALLERGIC TO DOGS! The living room rug was gross and had a strong dog smell, which made the space unpleasant for everyone and unhealthy for anyone with a dog allergy. * The furniture could use an update—it wasn’t very comfortable. * The powder room has drop ceiling tiles that are out of place, exposing the floorboards above. It gives an unfinished look and could be an issue for some. * The ceiling in the shower is stained, which detracted from the overall cleanliness. * Closet door in the bedroom was off its track and difficult to use. Overall, while the location and views are definite highlights, there are some maintenance and cleanliness issues that need to be addressed. For those sensitive to pet allergens, I wouldn’t recommend this rental.

Horrible unit. Would not book again.

Everything in this place is uncomfortable. They wouldn’t give us pillows for the pullout couch so had to buy them. Then when we opened it up we realized you can’t sleep on it. Big springs sticking up, it was a mess. Sitting on it wasn’t great either. It’s basically outdoor furniture. My mom only stayed a night sleeping on it as a couch and then went home. Dishes were dirty, bathrooms are old, the whole place is dreary. I would not book again. One of the more expensive places to stay and not worth it.

We spoke with a representative at sea colony at 9:15 AM this morning to leave our badges and to explain our complaints about the unit. We showed him several pictures of the unit. It was in need of many repairs (toilets , closet door, shower stains, shower drain) and a deep clean was very much needed. There were dirty towels stuffed into a chest of drawers next to kitchen, dirty coffee machine, filthy fan, filthy refrigerator top to name a few items that made our stay unpleasant. We did reply to your initial message on September 27. We were told someone would be over for these issues, but no one did. Lastly the sliding doors needed to be cleaned. We were very disappointed. Please advise.

Great view

Can’t beat the view and access to the beach. As mentioned in other reviews, it is dated. The kitchen needs real bowls for cereal, etc. There was water damage in the bathroom ceiling and the place was not cleaned thoroughly (last guest’s welcome packet was on the table). But for the view, activities offered at the resort, and Vacasa’s quick response, we’d overlook it all and stay again.

Great location, home could use upgrades

Location is ideal, oceanfront beautiful view and great amenities in Sea Colony. Home itself needs upgrades. Bathrooms are very outdated, stains on bathroom ceiling, popcorn ceilings in hall, mattress not very comfortable and sofabed was usable due to discomfort. Had to go buy an air mattress. Place was clean though and stocked well enough for a small family.

Lovely ocean view!

We had a lovely trip! The unit was clean and well-supplied with linens, towels, and kitchen items. We enjoyed using the Freeman Fitness Center on the other side of the development (just a short drive). WiFi worked great. Will stay again!
