This house has a nice design and is wonderfully situated with a great view. It was clean and large and reasonably priced. But... (1) the floors are oddly thin due to the type of post and beam construction, so the main floor bedroom gets to hear "everything" that occurs in the bedroom above it, (2) nobody has thought about what it is like to actually live in the house (e.g., there are no night tables next to several beds, reading lights are an afterthought, and some bulbs were out), (3) billed for 12 guests, but there are only about eight sets of silverware, (4) wifi struggles with several computers working at the same time - and streaming tv simply does not work, (5) not equipped with basic kitchen stuff like serving platters and salt, and (6) it is really a bit far from where you want to be.
We did have a good time and I'd ordinarily still give the house a 4, but the management team was simply absent. They did not respond to phone calls, ever (I was hoping that they could replace a broken coffeemaker which wasn't a big deal, but nobody ever called back after several calls even to acknowledge my inquiry, and one of our party gave up after trying to reach them to inquire about some items she left at the home). So a 4 is a 3. due to the management team. Hopefully we just got unlucky with their staffing during our week.
