On arrival, the oven and hob were visibly dirty with grease and residue, and the kitchen overall did not appear to have been properly cleaned. There was no bin provided anywhere in the property, only loose bin bags left for guests to manage waste themselves. The bathroom showed visible mould around the shower area. "Excellent communication from host & easy check in with key lock. Room was spacious & comfortable for our family of 4. The only negative was that we hadn’t realised that bathroom would be downstairs, which resulted in the kids being a bit anxious about going on their own, as it’s a shared house and they weren’t comfortable wandering around the house on their own with strangers. Not a problem for the adults, but the kids weren’t comfortable. "

"The property itself was spotless. I didn't see a speck of dust. It is obviously cleaned pretty much daily. The bathroom was spotless and the shower was good. The kitchen was clean and had everything you needed. I would add some baking trays and oven gloves but apart from that it was great! The bedroom was clean and tidy. "Stayed at the hotel after a long day at alton towers. Staff were friendly and rooms easy to find, the rooms were clean and had a great night sleep before driving 3.5 hours home the next day. My son enjoyed the swimming pool. The hotel is run down but still beautiful with vintage tiled floors, beautiful garden. The bathroom was very outdated, for the price it suited us perfectly. There is a pub attached to the hotel which is lovely and not badly priced, there were 3 beautiful cats hanging around so if your planning on a stay bring cat treats, they will appreciate it"
