"We had a great stay here. The host, I can’t remember his name, was helpful and kind. It was a beautiful and very quiet spot. The stone buildings and decor made it feel like a medieval village."

"The Maison de Tari is a perfect place to stay for families looking to explore the area around Sarlat.
We stayed in a family room with three small children and it suited us perfectly. All rooms had a separate outside sitting area with a large table. It had a good sized pool, a separate communal cooking and dining area, including a gas BBQ and a fridge. A great continental breakfast was provided that included fresh pastries from the local bakery, and a selection of local jams, cheeses and meats....

"Plutôt déçu de ce séjour et voici pourquoi :
Points forts : la quiétude du lieu, le paysage, le côté typique des gîtes, la localisation géographique pour les visites
Points négatifs : chemin d’accès très étroit et rempli de trous, compliqué de retrouver sa chambre dans les différents gîtes présents dans le hameau car pas d’indications (il suffirait d’avoir un petit plan au niveau des parkings!), organisation médiocre (nom de la chambre pas reçu, idem pour le code de la boîte à clef). "We loved our stay at this property. The hosts were so friendly and welcoming. They provided us with a delicious dinner on out first night and waking up to breakfast each morning was such a treat. Everything is home made and fresh! I also had a lovely massage which I would highly recommend. The pool area is relaxing and picturesque, while our gite had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We hope we can come backa again soon, "

"Sabine and Phillipe are wonderful, kind hosts. They have lived in the area a long time and are thus very knowledgeable and can answer any touristic questions you have. The property is beautiful and peaceful. It’s an easy walk into Sarlat from their place"

"A beautiful place to stay, decorated tastefully and not overdone.
My room was very attractive and although the mattress was firmer than I am used to I slept well. My view was over the valley but view from rooms facing this old village would also have been attractive. Efficient air conditioning greatly!
Although small the garden was well maintained, as was the pool, and very quiet even at a busy weekend. Lovely sound of the water fall in the pool.
Due to problems with my flights I arrived around 22.00 but was made very welcome and a tray of cold meats and cheese brought to my room despite the late hour. Much appreciated.
My stay was brief but I would love to return and would happily recommend the hotel to my friends and family. In fact I have already done so!
Many thanks to the hotel staff for salvaging a challenging weekend for me."
"The staff was very helpful and friendly and the hotel was very clean.. There was plenty of free parking and the hotel is well located within an approximate 20 minute walk downtown."
"Hotel très bien, les chambres également avec cuisine équipée avec l’essentiel. Nous avons apprécié notre séjour et retournerions sans hésitation. Le check-in était très simple même en dehors des heures régulières."
"We spent 4 nights at the lovely Petit Manoir in the Josephine Baker room. The facilities were great, large bedroom and bath, lots of storage room for clothes, location couldn’t be beat, and historic ambiance was everywhere. For disabled or elderly, I would not recommend it bc you have to walk up a large wooden spiral staircase (yes there is a railing, but a bit tricky for those whose balance is a little off). The breakfast was served daily in the downstairs dining room or by the pool (your preference) and it was delicious and came with the room. There is a small pool in the courtyard, but only large enough for 4 lounge chairs. We had a very early departure and the office arranged for a taxi to pick us up for the train station. Carrying luggage up and down that staircase was a bit tricky. I liked the location of the hotel in that you were in the center of town, yet you heard very little noise from the crowded streets.
The staff was super friendly and helped us with whatever we needed. Highly recommended!"
"Absolutely beautiful new hotel. Warm welcome on arival and excellent show around and room check in. The room was excellent and far exceeded my expectations. Separate living area, bedroom bathroom and private terrace.
Nice to have air-conditioning during the hot weather. The pool was lovely and also over seen by the bar staff who give you a bottle of chilled water when you get there.
The bbq on a friday is certainly worth doing the food and cocktail were amazing 5 out of 5 for everything."
"What a lovely hotel to stay for a few days and explore the local area. Our room was very clean and comfortable with aircon and a minibar. The pool area was stunning and a perfect place to cool down in the recent heatwave. Christine was so welcoming and suggested different places to visit whilst we were there. Yes it’s up a hill but really not too bad to walk back up from the town if you take it steady. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Sarlat."
"This is beautiful and quirky hotel in an old part of the town centre of Souillac. Owners appeared to be welcoming and charismatic. Lady owner communicates in English if struggling to speak in French.
Rooms presented to be very nice and clean, while beds very comfortable. Bathroom appeared to be clean but would benefit from a little renovation. There is shower in the bathtub but no rail to attach it, which was a little bit inconvenient.
There is cafe and dinning room downstairs, which seems to attract a lot of locals. Breakfast is served in the dinning room, though I would personally rather have something to eat elsewhere. Hygiene standards in the dinning room are not what I am used to, and are somehow low."
