House with garden
The entrance of Casa Marisa leans out on a balcony with a splendid foreshortening of the typical Tuscan country. By side of the balcony is a fresh garden on two levels linked by a beautiful staircase. The garden is perfectly equipped for outside dining, with a great vine-trellis covered by grape, a wood oven and a barbecue. The interiors of the house has been recently and elegantly renovated. The house has a sitting room with fireplace furnished with slacker in wickers, a kitchen with a table, a dispensa. On the first floor there are two pleasant double bedrooms with panoramic sight, one with a small balcony as well, and the bathroom with shower.

I have to say the view drom the property was great nothing but forrest and bordering the national park.Cuckoos in the morning and evening, Jays, Hares, Wolves, although we did not see any of the wolves as they have been re-introduced to the national park.
The road to the place was a bit of a bumpy drive but we got used to it. Bibbiena the nearest town was great that is the old town with several bars and retaurants.
Easy asccee to all surounding towns and places to see, great location. Visted Arezzo and Sienna piazza spectacular having a chianti watching the world go by really great visited Poppi nearby as we hired a car for the week. Recommended. The hosts don't speak any more English than I do Italian but we got by. P.S. Take plenty of mosquito repellent.Really great place and holiday.

Einfach klasse! Wer Ruhe sucht, findet sie in diesem wunderschönen Haus. Einfach, aber alles was man braucht.

We had a very pleasant stay in this rustic stone house which has an extensive terrace with a spectacular view. The nearby national park offers some excellent hiking and road cycling (basically no flat roads, lots of good climbs and descents). The house interior and furnishings are a bit old, but functional and satisfactory. We made do just fine and spent most of our time on the terrace in any case. You definitely need a car if you plan to stay in Banzena, but you can count on complete peace and quiet. The climate is somewhat cooler than lower down in the valley, which was a plus during the June/July time we were there.
