"Loved this stay! Everything in the room was set up for an easy stay, from plenty of outlets in convenient locations to the requisite number of towels. The property and rooms were clean and well kept. Staff were among the friendliest I’ve encountered.
And if all that isn’t enough, they’re dog friendly and without an extra pet fee.
Top marks!"
"The lady at our check in must have had a bad day - or she hates her job. Other than that, it was a pretty good hotel experience. Clean rooms, very well appointed and looked after. It was the last stages of Celtic Colors so hotel was almost full. Little kids upstairs were rambunctious and the noise was disturbing in our room underneath them. All in all, a decent stay in a nice hotel."
"This was my favorite place we stayed in Cape Breton. I wish we had had more time to explore the area. Behind the hotel is a historic site that can be explored on foot. The best thing was the music! We were able to see the weekly jam with trad music (mostly Cape Breton, some that seemed more Irish and possibly even American old-time-y) and loved it."
"Great stay at this Motel. The manager/owner was super friendly and kind checking us in with a welcoming smile. The room was very comfortable and modern but shows some minor signs of aging but not a big deal. The beds were comfortable and we really appreciated an excellent breakfast which included eggs, sausages, hash browns, toast, cereal, yogurt and pancakes!!!. So great to be able to have this then get underway to continue our journey. It is only 10 mins from Baddeck where lots of activities were taking place. Be sure to take in the Baddeck Gathering Community Ceilidhs at the community hall at 6 Margaree road in town. They are so fun!!!"
"Great location, an easy walk to restaurants etc. Staff was very helpful and gave us a thorough orientation, including to the Cabot Trail, upon checkin. In-house restaurant looked lovely, but we ended up not going there because we got back too late (and it does look a bit pricey). The rooms were comfortable but we moved some small furniture items around so we had a place to set our bathroom things and had sufficient nightstand space."
"This property is perfectly positioned to kick off a Cabot Trail adventure. Beds were comfortable, the room was big enough, it was too cold to use the dck but it looked wonderful."
