"Upon pulling off the freeway and seeing the area the hotel is in, I was considering scrapping my reservation and heading somewhere safer. I am so grateful I parked and went in because once I stepped into the lobby, I was smitten with the charm and beauty of the historical building. The staff could not have been kinder and the meal out on the patio with live music was magical. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and am spreading word of this gem to everyone!"

"The room had everything, including the kitchen sink. It was the nicest La Quinta that I have ever stayed in. It is a great place to stay, if you plan to spend several days there. The room had a refrigerator, freezer, microwave, silverware, pots and pans. Of course, it even had a kitchen sink."

"An absolute unique setting surrounded by the Fort Davis Mountains. It is directly across from the Chihuanhuan Desert Nature Center. We stayed in Bunkhouse 1 that worked well for 2 adults and our 11 year old grandson. The first night there we enjoyed sitting by the pool and the hot tub. We chose this location aa our home base to spend time both in the Fort Davis area and the Big Bend area. Bunkhouse accommodations are similar to a hotel setting. No kitchen but small frig, microwave, espresso...

"This was a last minute stop over on a long drive back home. The hotel appeared to be fairly new and is surrounded by several other hotels. The check in and breakfast was top notch. We even received a welcome bag with waters and bag of cookies. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub which is adjacent to the pool. Very nice!"
