"Everything about this hotel was good. The only thing that I had a slight problem with was the shower head didn’t move. When I did try to move it, the whole shower head fell off. I was able to screw it back on, but that was quite a surprise after a looooong day of traveling from NY."

"Nice hotel EXCEPT my resort view room looked over a large rooftop of gravel. Not the view in the website pictures. Busy location with shops and places to eat. Good on-site breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Asked for late checkout but didn't get it. Had to ask for temporary passes to use resort while waiting for evening flight and was given a wrist band for pool but not able to use a bathroom with it??? That was very inconvenient. Something about a system upgrade which was supposed to be seamless. Too bad it wasn't. Front desk staff just okay."

"Great location, residential area, walking distance to Safeway, close to shopping, restaurants, the beach and just a few minutes to/from the airport. The beds are comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom are well-stocked. It’s located upstairs and we enjoyed breakfast in the covered lanai. There’s no air conditioning but there are ceiling fans inside the main bedroom alcove, and the dining area. There’s also floor fan, and a desk fan but they might not be enough on hot, humid nights. Overall, it was a comfortable stay.."

"This is a nice place. Very private. Super clean. There was plenty of space to relax inside the house and a very nice deck area outside as well. The location is in a quiet neighborhood but not far from the places you want to see or dine at Kona. Sarah, who hosted us, was very helpful and responsive to any questions we had. You should definitely check this property out if you are staying in Kona."

"The property had an "old Hawaii" feel to it, which was fun. The hosts were around, friendly and very laid back, helpful and enjoyable to talk with. It was very warm, with an oscillating fan which ended up being ok, but that may not be for you. We kept our door to outside open, which was thoughtfully draped with fabric, but after we were trying to sleep a vehicle pulled into the car port which was just outside our door. This was a bit jarring! We weren't aware that other guests would be arriving; it would have been helpful to know that."

"This was the perfect Hale for our Hawaiian getaway! Our hosts were so welcoming and made sure the place was well stocked for us. Kitchen had everything we needed and they even included beach gear and fresh fruit from their property. Highly recommend! 1000 out of 10."
