"The room was very comfortable and the view was amazing. The pool was wonderful and clean. My only complaint was the floor in our room was not very clean. It needed a good vacuuming. The shower was great."

"We chose the double queen room with ocean view. It is partial view because of the way the buildings are situated. You need to get a room overlooking the ocean for a full ocean view. Otherwise the view is still beautiful. Beds are high so if you have a disability, or elderly it would be best to request a room for disabled or handicapped. The bathroom is set up with wheelchair access and grab bars and space for toilet easy access and space. Rooms are close to elevator and the ice and water machines on each floor. ABC convenience store, clothing, art coffee shop. There is a calendar of scheduled activities to learn hula and lei making. Tennis court, pool and beach access, cabanas and can be set up for a wedding destination. I was there with my elderly mother for a wedding. It was so beautiful. About of Hawaiians art and a Heiau as well. Perfect for water sport and there are lots of off property shops and restaurants. Kailua-Kona has grown so much. And the Courtyard Marriott has done a great Job renovating the property. What else can I say, I was pleasantly surprised and will stay there again. Rooms are very clean, staff is pleasant and helpful, breakfast buffet available or menu. Great place to stay."

"Had a beautiful view from our room in the bay tower overlooking the bay and Huggos. The room was perfect for our stay, clean and comfortable. The resort is a bit outdated and needs a refresh, but nothing that took away from the experience. Parking is $25 a day and the resort fees getting charged at checkout was a bit of a surprise, but nothing too crazy."

"My first time to Kona. Check in was super easy. The property was a walking distance to shopping centers. My only draw back was that the small fan. It wasn't keeping the room as cool as I preferred it to be. However, overall, it was a great place to stay. I would recommend this place to people."

The “Promise Tree” is a great family gathering place in Kailua Kona!

"Trying to find a place for 14 people ranging in ages from 2 - 86, is not so easy. Communication with the owners before booking the Promise Tree was so helpful! They got back to me so quickly! We arrived quite early, and Esther was kind enough to allow us an early check in. It was pouring rain and as we were trying to place everyone in the best rooms for our entourage, Esther came over and explained where everything was, and how things worked. The property is so big and absolutely beautiful! They have everything you will need while you’re there. Pack and plays, beach chairs, snorkel gear, even water shoes in sizes for almost everyone. Coolers, wagons, umbrellas! The pool was used every day, rain or shine!It was such a great fit for our large family. Thank you Esther for your prompt replies to my many questions! Your communication is stellar! Thank you for your kindness, and creating such a wonderful place for families to gather. MahaloSteve and Debbie Vega"

"The property was spacious and well equipped for our vacation. We especially appreciated the snorkels and other beach gear offered during the stay. The place has a laid back, beachy, hippie vibe that was inviting. You do share the carport with whoever is staying in the room beneath this rental, so it's first come first serve. "
