A basic motel that showed some signs of age and wear but it was very clean, comfortable, and at a good price . Nice staff, good location in the small town, and I appreciated the amenities the room had. I would stay here again if in the area.

The Bristlecone Motel is a great inexpensive place to recover from your adventures on Highway 395. The amenities include a TV monitor, small fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The bed was reasonably comfortable and the AC/Heater unit gave us some cool air and white noise to make our sleep restful. The friendly staff are found in the gas station next door and the parking is close your room. I would recommend this hotel if you need a decent crash pad.

Hoteis around here are expensive for what you get. This was a basic no frills room, it was comfortable for a 1-2 night stay. It was clean and easy to check in and park. The store where you check in has a decent selection of food for a quick breakfast if in the run headed to a hike. Quick grab and go.

A great example of why never to judge a book by its cover. I've passed by this motel several times on the highway and didn't think much of it, but have now found my new go to stay for work in the area. Staff is kind and helpful, and the place is incredibly clean and comfortable. The wifi is also great, as well as the local discounts at restaurants! Will be trying the bbq next time!

Great motel that gave us access to the Big Pine trailhead. Room was lovely, but AC and some lights weren’t working that well. Bonus that we got a discount at a BBQ joint for staying here.

Perfect location to hike big pine, recently renovated (new floors/cabinets/simple furnishings), super clean, great layout. Most importantly felt safe (single female traveler). Also very convenient that the gas station/market is right there.

This was a clean and convenient place to stay. It was a bit strange checking in at the Gas Station but the staff there were lovely. All in all a nice room, the only complaint would be that the AC was in a strange location and didn't really cool down the room.

The room was sufficient for what we needed. Bedcwas comfortable, shower felt great after a 21 mile hike! The air conditioning was a must for the 98 degree weather. We will be back.

The room was well maintained. The bed was comfortable and decor was simple, and made me feel relaxed. Bathroom was spacious. Had small coffee maker and mini fridge. Nice mini grocery market next to hotel. Coffee shop across street.

The air conditioning saved us! Worked wonderfully on a super hot day. There was a swarm of wasps above our door outside when we arrived, but staff immediately took care of it. Staff in the market were helpful and kind. The microwave and fridge came in very handy, and the room was clean. It's an older motel, but they maintain it fairly well. Great for a short stay!

Standard motor lodge externally, very clean, simple, minimalist interiors, smart furniture and flooring that doesn’t keep dirt or germs, decent sized bathrooms, solar panels, yay! Not even dust on the switch plates. Rooms are great, get rid of the mismatched dirty-fabric yard sale chairs outside and it’ll be an A+.

We stayed in the family room and it was spacious like a cabin with an open floor plan and 3 beds. We all slept comfortably and woke up to a beautiful snow capped view of the mountains. The shower fixture Sucked tbh but other than that we had a great stay!
