"The owner remembered us when checking in. The beds were amazing. The power went out but we expected it as we seen power trucks on the highway. Cant wait to comeback!"
Private cabin in Boisdale. Perfect getaway for the whole family with a view!
10/10 Excellent
"The Boisdale Cabin was clean & cozy, with fun & friendly decorations. Kitchen & bathroom had everything we needed, and thoughtful extras like a water cooler and first aid kit. The cottage is on a gravel road, near a cool old church. A sweet little park is nearby, with the finest Little Free Library I have ever seen. Host Lisa was very responsive to any issues, and even welcomed us with much appreciated snacks! Fall weather was a bit chilly, windy & rainy, so we weren’t able to enjoy the fire pit or gazebo overlooking the lake, but we were happy to have the warm heat pump and extra blankets. We stayed here on Cape Breton Island for 10 nights in October, and the foliage was gorgeous!"
"Unique stay. The dome was clean but cool inside…did not get warmed up. Bathroom outside were awful. No towels provided to us, even when staff said they would bring them. I would not consider this glamping. More like camping. Close to Baddeck which was good."
"We enjoyed our stay at the Lynwood Inn. Our room was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed. It’s in a good location for exploring the shops, cafes & restaurants in Baddeck and includes onsite parking.
One thing to note is that you may be staying in an annexe building as we were. We dragged our large suitcases up steps and into the main building only to find we’d need to exit again to go to the annexe."
"This property is perfectly positioned to kick off a Cabot Trail adventure. Beds were comfortable, the room was big enough, it was too cold to use the dck but it looked wonderful."
Veronica’s Place - Brand new, roomy cottage on the Bras D'Or Lakes
10/10 Excellent
"Wonderful updated lakefront cottage. Friendly and and generous host had stocked refrigerator with farm fresh eggs, milk and butter. Overall well-stocked pantry. Access via ferry is easy, fast, and free. Efficient ferry system takes less than 10 minutes and runs 24-7, so don't let that deter you. Convenient to both Cabot Trail and Louisbourg Fortress. Would stay again."
