The shower place had some bugs so I wasn’t happy about it but still it is worth the price and the staff were really friendly. I would definitely go again when I visit Bilbao.

I'd like to give this a higher review but unfortunately I had a couiple things stolen from me. Luckily they were expendable, including some hair gel and a full bag of walnuts, but it makes me wodner what worse could have happened if I had left my passport of wallet out, or did not bring a padlock with me for my locker. Made me not feel very great. However, the laundry service, staff (shoutout Eliot), free breakfast, and loung area made up for this fault. It is also near El casco viejo, but it requires a good walk up a hill. But grocery storee is nearby which is super appreciated. Bring your own towel because you have to rent one here.

Hilltop with views over the city

Friendly welcome, free breakfast and warm bed at a very good price. Parking is free on the road, if you are lucky to find a spot, but there is also a paid but cheap parking lot a fleet of stairs down the hill.

Everything was perfect except the AC got shut down at night making it hot and unable to sleep. On informing the staff they told they would take care of it. However, the next day it was naturally cold, and we did not have to use the AC

Ineficiencia e insensibilidad

La experiencia fue muy mala. Habían registrado mal la reserva por lo que no estaba disponible la habitación para cuatro personas que habíamos contratado. Tuvimos que salir a buscar otro alojamiento de apuro, en una ciudad cara y sobre ocupada. No hicieron esfuerzos por solucionar ni compensar de alguna manera el perjuicio que nos generaron, ni siquiera nos ayudaron con la búsqueda de otro lugar. Cero hospitalidad, empatía ni cooperación.

Für mich hat einfach alles gepasst. Netter Empfang, sehr unkompliziert, haben für mich eine Lösung gefunden, sehr engagiert, kennen ihre Bewohner. Check in/Out sehr gute Zeiten. Busverbindung zum Hostel sehr gut und mehrere Möglichkeiten. Saubere Gegend. Kochen ist möglich und wird auch gerne genutzt. Viel Geschirr vorhanden und das Frühstück gibt es auch noch gratis on top!!👍👍

I found the iron hostel very clean and spacious. We were in a mixed dorm so it was quite noisy with people packing and unpacking bags. Bring ear plugs and have a eye mask is my suggestion. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. I like the location of the irion hostel on the old part of town on the hill, with great views. My suggestion is book a smaller dorm with less people. It is on the Camino trail so you've lots of pilgrims also. Over all it was very clean & staff get 10 out of ten. I had stayed in The Pil Pil Hostel previous to this in Bilbao & found it unpleasant & not in a great location. They charge €2.50 for their breakfast in Pil, pil which is a total rip off. The Irion hostel is better & breakfast is included in the price and again a great location over looking bilbao.

Stunning View and away from the Crowd

I was staying here for 3 nights at the women mixed room. The room is quite spacious and clean ,with locker to store your belongings. The bunker bed is fair enough for the rate I’m paying . The staffs are friendly and helpful , speak good enough English. I wish they could provide more bread selections in breaskfast. The location of the hostel is perfect if you are looking for a piece of quite and calm. And for those who do not mind to walk up and down hill a lot. The view along the path to the hostel is stunning and meomorable . And this is my 1st visit in Bilbao / Spain
