What a wonderful place! This chateau has been lovingly restored back to its former glory by the current owners with modern elements and artwork incorporated. We had one of the largest rooms in the house and could only marvel at the details the owners had thought of in the restoration. The room was extremely comfortable lacking nothing. All hotels was fully booked in Pau, found this nice hotel in the foothills of the Pyrenees. Stayed for 5 nights. Basic but very clean rooms, good wi-fi and work desk allowed for effective work at the hotel.

The owner was FABULOUS! Very friendly and welcoming, the room was spacious, clean and charming. Aruby was is a beautiful village. I will definetly go back next year.

Old historic home, run by a charming old lady. It belonged to Pierre Laclède, founder of Saint Louis (Missouri). It has remained in the family ever since. Excellent (continental) breakfast included in the very low price. The village of Bedous is charming and there are at least three quite decent restaurants.

Our hosts were wonderful. Very helpful and accommodating. Breakfast was excellent and the conversations even better.

Bruno and Chantal were consummate hosts. I loved my room with its view of the garden, a decor accented with vintage radios and alarm clocks, a spacious modern bathroom and adjacent WC. A practical command of French is helpful, as the coversations surrounding breakfast, cocktail ( choice of aperitif, beer and wine) and dinner (not included, but highly recommended as Chantal is an excellent cook. Cozy chalet, very nicely renovated and perfectly equipped, with beautiful restaurant / reception area - we visited in the winter but would also love to see it in the summer! Great for families or groups of friends. Well situated.

Nous sommes restes au clos Mirabel et ce fut une excellente surprise. L’endroit est bien entendu magnifique mais c’est surtout la gentillesse et le professionnalisme des hôtes (Rachel et sa famille) et la qualité des prestations qui nous ont enchantées (superbe maison, et Rachel est une excellente cuisinière qui a pu nous faire un excellent repas sans que nous ayons prévenus). Ce fut une parenthèse très douce et agréable pour nous et nos deux enfants.

Excellent for a overnight stay in between journey to other areas. Need to get the wi-fi for guests, even if offering for a fee! Great to have the cafe and bar and all the French magazines readily available.
